I am a summer student for a Calgary-based oil company. So basically I am the hired bitch that is supposed to do all of the crap jobs that the "real" engineers don't want to. I share an office with a big-headed moron who's daddy got him this job, but more on him in another post.
So lately my days consist of modeling gas pipelines. We have a computer program specifically designed for that, so I sit at my computer inputting pipeline properties and changing well flow rates, etc.
This morning I got to work and my computer was froze. No big deal, I just had to restart it, which meant all of my programs got shutdown temporarily. However, when it rebooted, I tried to log back into the pipeline simulation software, but all of the licenses were full.
So now I'm sitting here, trying to make it look like I'm busy. I'm contemplating faking sick so I can go home, but I'll probably end up spending all day on ubersite.
