It's not a threat, Loren. We're camping in a State campground. That means that if people get a little too sassy the DNR rangers will call the state police not the locals. I'm hoping that the fact that we are all adults will make the trip smooth as silk but after hearing some of the stories of Ubercons past.......... I don't want to go to jail and I don't want anybody else to either. If that means that at some point we have to take a bottle out of somebody's hands and tell them "Shut the fuck up, it's 2 am" We will............or we can let Michigan's finest do it. I know which one I'd pick.

Boy oh boy are you in for a surprise or three. I can't wait to hear all about this weekend. Jared had better take a lot of video footage.
My serious advice? Take a mental valium. If things start annoying you or are headed downhill, just distance yourself. I avoided all potentially horrid situations (horrid for me) in Atlantic City and Vegas, and avoided the New Hampshire con altogether. If you can't roll with the punches of hanging with a group of people who will be drinking, then your plan isn't fool proof. Large groups of people + alcohol = a large chance of nonsense. It's best not to overreact either way, because you'll just be miserable and make everyone else miserable if you try to control the situation - especially with THREATS. My god I'm not going to go there.
Best of luck, and bring an emergency medical kit equipped w/smelling salts.

The driver of a carpool should burn a CD with nothing but the Muppets song "Movin' Right Along" on it, then just play it over and over and over at full volume until they reach Michigan. Think about that for a moment. A car pulls up to the camp site with that damned song blaring, three car doors open and people SPRINT out of the car.

I would recommend avoiding I-75 N at all costs. It's construction city up there. If possible, you're better off taking 23 North to Ann Arbor which you can get to from 475 West.
Also, when you pass through Toledo, think of me for the briefest of moments and laugh because while you'll be getting shitty and having fun, my wife and I will be moving the contents of our old apartment to our new apartment.
