Yes, I know, it is not yet Monday, but hey, it will be the best ever. (Well, in my eyes anyways).
Firstly, it is my birthday, I will turn twenty-one, although I shall reside mentally around the age of six.
Secondly, well, joined to the first point, we are going out the lunch at work, due to the first reason. This means a few beers, and a meal, all paid for by the boss.
Thirdly, we are getting a gift pack from work, totally un-related to either of the above two points. The Christmas and Easter gift packs were valued at £200 retail (I guess $300 for you guys across that big lake thing), and I guess the summer one shall be close to that. Hopefully, there will be less 'girly' stuff, and more 'guy' stuff in there, but that is the risk you take when you work for a cosmetics company.
Fourthly, I will be able to drive my new car, as I currently can't due to insurance reasons, i.e. it is cheaper from Monday, so it starts then, and not now. This means I have a newer, faster car sat on the drive at home, while I am driving my older car. I am not sure which one is dirtier. It might be an even contest, with the new one winning slightly. 3 days of waiting is worth it for a cooler (heat sense) car.
Current car: 2 windows (manual) at the front, and a totally useless cooling system.
New car: 4 windows, front 2 being electric, and the rear 2 being manual, air conditioning, and a cooling system that works.
Not sure what the difference will be, as the hot weather, and I guess the entire British summer was last week, and it will now rain to spite my purchase of a new car.
Anyways, I shall stop looking to the future, and look at today, as we are going out to lunch, to a Mexican for a leaving party at work, and also to an Italian restaurant tonight for a birthday celebration.
Could the next few days be any cooler???
Well, yes... the eagerly awaited arrival of our Australian family on Saturday. It is Granddad's sister's daughter, and husband, and their daughter. They are here until October, so it should be a great laugh, after speaking to them online for a few years now.
Oh well, now to do the work that I need to do, that would normally be done this afternoon, but our day finishes sometime around lunchtime. YAY!!! :D
and now I shall leave you with a question (like anyone got this far anyways)::
as it is SPT, and for an SPT post (as this is), does the 2 represent a great post, like a normal day.... surely a great post for SPT would be, by definition, truly terrible, as it would need to be shit to qualify for SPT..... normally, a -2 is reserved for n00bs, and terrible posts, and by definition, all posts for SPT are terrible, ergo, the need to -2 them all, but if they are truly terrible, they would qualify for SPT, and then be a good post in contrast to the daily topic...
having said that, and totally confused myself, and the 1 person that would actually ever read a post by me, i don't really expect to get a +2 anywhere for this, due to it being a journal-style entry, and me not being a really great writer, in fact, I am the total opposite
at least it wasn't an uber-park style bandwagon post.......
