The only thing more humiliating than falling for someone and making an ass out of yourself in a desperate, drunken attempt to wade through your own cesspool of insecurity and depression and be a part of her life is being kicked out of her car so she can explain to her ex why "you're just a co-worker and will explain when you're not around." An ex who she hasn't talked to in five years because she caught him cheating on her, then got her pregnant and told her he didn't want anything to do with the kid, and doesn't pay child support even though she can't afford to support herself. I know I can, and have acted pretty fucked up, but I never thought that I was lower than that.
Congratulations Tia, you're the one person I've come across who, no matter how shitty I feel about myself, can and does make me feel even worse. I just hope the next time you're upset that the co-workers you so proudly refer to as friends are sitting around talking about who's fucked you, or you hear you son calling his grandparents mom and dad, the next time your son won't talk to you, you stop and think about me, and how pathetic I am for wanting to get to know the person beyond your mistakes.
Thanks for kicking me when I'm down. For a little while there in the beginning I almost forgot what it feels like to be broken.

Somehow my first glance of this yielded E I E I O. And I agree with Siren, it's beat that your down. All the women I'm hearing about lately (be it your experiences, my experiences or my sister's friend's experiences) are really shitty with the whole breakup thing:
a. They write a breakup letter...and make their friend give it to you
b. They break up with you...and try to get back together the next day
c. They break up with you...and go drama queen if they see or think about you or anyone mentions you
d. They break up with you...and start controlling your life so you never hang out with her ex again
