The solution to avoiding all this "honestly, you were so bad you had to rely on the FRENCH" business is simple. Let's scrub July 4th. And most Canadians probably wouldn't care if we scrubbed Canada Day as long as it was still a civic holiday. The whole first week of July should be North America Week. That's right. The whole continent would get hammered, set off explosives, and smoke weed for the entire week in celebration of our respective national birthdays. We could blow our nose at the Europeans and pat ourselves on the back. Business in North America would be in harmony as we would have one unified holiday. Plus, 1 week weekend. Yay!
