AutoStitch is the world's first fully automatic 2D image stitcher. Capable of stitching full view
panoramas without any user input whatsoever, AutoStitch is a breakthrough technology for panoramic
photography, VR and visualisation applications.
AutoStitch is built using cutting edge research from the AI lab at UBC, but it's incredibly simple
to use! Just select a set of photos, and AutoStitch does the rest: digital photos in, panoramas
out. Try the free demo (for Windows):

This program sure beats the hell out of trying to put pictures together manually through photoshop. Anyone who has the slightest interest in photography should check this program out.
All you have to do is take pictures of anything, and the program will stitch them together based
on reference points within the pictures.
It's definately worth the money.
(Autostitch is free to the public. Anyone who pays for programs in this
high-tech world of internet piracy is a dumbass. End of disclaimer.)

That's pretty suave.
I don't see any practical implementation, because I'm not a photographer, or not much of one, but this sounds like it could be useful. Cool!

Hey that is really neat and interesting and all that great stuff. I just wish that I had any sort of occasion to use something like that whatsoever. I just don't see any potential for me to splice pictures together in a way that spreads them WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY across the screen and forces people to scoll like a motherfucker if they are going to try to read a particularly lenghty review.
