SPT is great for newbies such as myself. Fortunately for all of you, I will only be posting on Thursdays until I have something of merit to share. Today i'd like share the 'other side' of my boss. You can read a little about him here:

Sitting in a cube 40 hours a week sucks about 57 times, all of which i'm sure have been discussed in great lengths here at Uber.
A couple weeks ago I took a well deserved day off. I filled out the necessary 'Personal Day' form in advance and got approved for it with a couple days to spare. It was my second day off this year, meaning I have a lot of personal days saved up.
The day off was spent fishing, which was awesome, but has little importance to the point of this post.
I came back the next day and one of my boss's lackeys came by to give me an updated 'time off report' (for lack of a better term). Its basically a piece of paper that shows you how much sick/personal/vacation time you have used in the year, and how much you have left.
I looked at at and it said that I had NEGATIVE hours. What the flip? I brought it up with my boss and he immediately discovered the error, and said he would have the correct one for me the next day.
Its been 10 days. And in those 10 days i've also earned a little bonus for my sterling performance accomodating the vendors we had in for a trade show. I haven't seen anything.
That is, until today. Just 5 minutes ago, the same little lackey came over to me with a fancy looking envelope with my name on it. It was kind of heavy (for an envelope), so I was hoping to see my 'time sheet' and a nice check. I opened it up and there was a folded piece of paper. When I took the paper out, there was writing on it which read:
"Steve -
Thanks for putting in a great effort while we played host to some of our top vendors. You deserve every bit of this.
Your Boss,
Mike"
He likes signing things with 'Your Boss' at the end.
I unfolded the piece of paper with hopes of maybe some cash? Naked ladies? My time sheet?
Nope. None of the above. It was a photocopied picture of Mike's hand giving me the finger.
I get no respect.

Every piece of mail that comes from the higher echelons should be placed onto some scales.
If it doesn't weigh more than the contents of your wallet (Including cards, and that condom which expired in 2002 and has worn through the foil) then write "No Longer At This Address" on the front and return it to the mail system.
