Boy I did. Last night I was running off of no sleep and a weekend full of hard labor with nothing to write about. I knew the deadline was approaching, so I started thinking of some nice little piece of junk drama with a twist ending, but to no avail, after four hours, my piece was literally a piece. Many of the characters were unnecessary and I had developed a character so boring that I wasn't interested in fixing him, let alone telling his story. So, with only a few hours left and what was left of my sanity, I just started typing, didn't look back, wrapped it up and sent it off.
Yup, I'm losing by a two to one margin, even with my own vote, yet I noticed something odd. The users I liked best voted for me. Me and my piece of shit. (!) To all you who voted for me, I appreciate it, even though what I wrote was a steaming pile of shit. One thing I've learned about UberMadness though, now that I've actually started reading the posts: myself included, there are a lot of shitty writers on this website, a few people with their moments, but for the most part, we should all be ashamed of ourselves if we ever had hopes of being a writer. Now I know you'll probably be saying, but Rawrg, this is the first round, they all suck this round. No no, I went back and read some of the 'praised' final rounds of yore, wow... just wow...
So alas, with my dreams crushed, I will return to my lack of writing anything of substance. I don't know why I can't write anymore. I think it's because I'm not unhappy like I used to be... All the best writers were unhappy, whiny, angsty pieces of shit like Poe and Shakespeare, but really, I don't read those assholes because their work is dated and while they may have been the first, they certainly weren't the only writers of their calibre. In closing, I've decided to leave you with a graph thst shows what happens to your edge when you start working hard, hanging out with real friends and generally living your life like a human being rather than a hybrid man-chair trapped forever behind the keyboard, sentenced to the Sisyphus task of trying to earn the approval of a bunch of people on the intarweb.

Ok, fuck this shit about people thinking I'm complaining. I blame myself. I could have used all this lead up time to come up with concepts for stories that I could easily adapt to any titles, but did I? No.

I can sympathize. I'm probably going to lose as well, and on a terribly poor written effort that wasn't even edited/gone over before submission. I was too busy and felt like I had to submit something and I didn't want it to sound like it was from me anyway.
I know that writing in these formats isn't my cup of tea anyway... oh well.

At my last count only 39 of the 55 matchups are up so a minimum of 16 forfeits, damn I'm unlucky. I don't feel that bad, surely if I had written my post at any other time I would have gotten a positive rating. 2 seed vs 15 seed.
