Ok, here's the deal. I'm making a call for charity. I know you're all going to yell at me for this, but what the hell.
This year, from the 12th to the 14th of August, I'm participating in something called the 40 hour famine. I'm sure everyone in Australia is already familiar with it, but I don't think they do it anywhere else, so I'll explain. The aim, funnily enough, is to go 40 hours without food. This is apparently to give you some idea of what children in less fortunate countries go through when they can't eat.
This is where you come in. Before the 40 hour famine starts, people can agree to sponsor me, that is donate a certain amount of money to World Vision under my name, so I can not eat and these children hopefully can. This year all donations are to be made on the website, by credit card. I don't actually have many friends with credit cards, or many friends at all, so I've decided to see if there are any nice people right here on Uber who would like to lend a hand.
Any donation over 2 Aussie dollars is tax deductable, and any donation at all would be appreciated.

You know, they could probably just sell this idea as a weight loss program and make a fucking fortune. All they need is a catchy name, a recognizable spokesperson, and someone with "Dr." in front of their name (even if it is a mail order degree from an online university) to endorse it. McDonald's and all the other shitty restaurants could cash in with special "famine meals" where you pay $5 and only get the packaging and a cup of water.

The 40-hour famine thing is pretty common. There used to be one (and probably still is) here in NC.
I pledge 1 Butterfinger to you for each hour. The only stipulation is you have to eat them ALL within 40 MINUTES of completing the famine. Naked.
