Yeah, I know. That's not exactly the PC thing to say. Babies are supposed to be cute and everyone is supposed to fawn over them.
And believe me I do. I love my nephew as much, if not more, than any aunt has ever loved her nephew. But when it comes down to it, babies and dogs have a lot in common.
They both do nothing but eat, sleep, shit, pee, and whine all day.
They both LOVE to go through the garbage and throw it around the house.
They both play with annoying squeaky toys.
They both have a fascination with the toilet.
They can both help their male owners pick up chicks. (you guys can't tell me you haven't tried this one at least once with one of them)
They both like playing with sticks more than the toys you buy them.
Dogs get locked up in a cage and babies get locked up in ... well a cage.
And they both tend to latch onto your leg at inopportune times.
But the main reason I am convinced that toddlers are a lot like dogs is because the other day when my 1 1/2 year-old nephew was mad at my sister for spending too much time on the computer and not paying enough attention to him he stole her mouse pad ....
.... and peed on it.
