Who the hell does this cock sucking bitch thinks she is anyway? Why must I be subjected to her shit music 50,000 times a day. And its not just her but, all the shitty pop artist that all sound exactly the same. I just decided to single out Gwen because of that "Rich Girl" song. This song is the epitomy of why the music industry is complete and utter shit nowadays. Here's 3 reasons why:
1- There is nothing I hate more than a group that makes a radio hit single out of a cover song. I'm sorry but, all your doing is taking another persons idea, adding your own little flare to it, then releasing it to public radio for the masses to hear. So what happens is most people don't realize its a cover song and just assumes it the artists' own work. That sounds plagerism to me, and its not even good plagerism because Gwen stole the song "Rich Girl" from an old reggae group who just took the idea from the play "Fiddler on the Roof". Most artist nowadays would rather catapult to superstardom by stealing songs from other groups and trying to release them as their own work just so more people will buy their albums. Classic Examples
Limp Bizkit-Faith and Behind Blue Eyes (Both SMASH hit single songs. Behind Blue Eyes particuarly pisses me off with that L-I-M-P in the middle of the song.)
Gwen Stefani-Rich Girl
Akon-Lonely (You gotta love the Chipmunk in the background! What would this song be without it?)
The Ataris-Boys of Summer
I would go on but, thinking of shitty music is hurting my brain.
2-"Rich Girl" includes R&B(or hip-hop) artist Eve. This sort of thing happens a lot in R&B and Hip-Hop music. I don't understand why these artist feel they need help from other's to make hit songs. Why must they ALWAYS have like 2 or 3 other artist backing them up? Is because they know that without them everyone will think the song is boring as shit? I guess it's okay to have 1 or 2 songs with backing artist on an album but, a single is supossed to represent a particular artists' talent (or lack of in Stefani's case) and no one else's. If you need help from other artist to promote your music, because you suck by yourself, then you don't belong in the industry.
3-The lyrics of the song show how much of a snobbish bitch Gwen really is. Shallow lyrics greed, money, and fashion whlie trying take make it sound okay by throwing in the line "All the riches baby, won't mean anything...". What a crock! Gwen Stefani sold her soul for the prospect of making MORE money then No Doubt could have ever brought her and now she is just a corporate whore who will be used to make as much money for the executives as possible then dropped from the label like a prostitute who has been abused and then thrown out into the streets.
Do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of NoFX'x Pump Up The Valium album and listen to "Dinosaurs Will Die about 50 times. Only then will you see the light my son. Only Then...

I give this a -2 because I should have put a lot more thought into this before posting. Actually, I should have just dropped the music rant completely. Oh well, guess you can't strike gold with every post. Everyone -2 this shit and move on. Hopefully my next post will be WAY better than this.

No, you don't need to bitch about it. Shut the fuck up, turn off the radio, and listen to a fucking CD if you don't want to hear pop music. I can't stand Gwen Stefani's music. And you know, after hearing a few of her songs (gotta give everybody a chance), I decided not to listen to her anymore. I haven't heard this "Rich Girl" song once. When I want to listen to music, I put in a CD. I don't listen to the radio, and I don't bitch about it.

meh... personally I don't like any of the listed bands.
nor do I like it when people don't realize the covers are actually covers. But then the CD case tells you its a cover and usually if the spin doctor is smart they tell you on air.
Other then that, well some people really do like this music. It is the style of these punk kids today. What about when you were listening to your music... I bet everyone ragged on it being corporate bullshit. It is always the same, shit even the "classic" Zeppelin was CORPORATE!
