At this Bubba woke up, Rodrigo's exclaimation changing into the sound of a scream from down the corridor. He picked himself off the floor. The monkey had escaped out of the room, flinging the trinkets it had collected from all over the ship in all directions. One of which, a paperweight in the shape of an elephant, had hit him on the head and knocked him out. He decided enough was enough and he was going to find an empty cabin for the night.
Meanwhile....
Susans scream was heard by few as the noise did not carry far beyond the expanses of the concert hall from which the grand staircase ascended. The first on the scene, to Susans delight and dismay, was Hans. He entered the concert hall from the door beneith the staircase and walked briskly round and up to where Susan was standing, taking in the scene as he ascended with only a momentary flicker of suprise as he saw the monkey. "I believe this is one of Miss Chestyplumps refugees" he said as he grabbed the creature by the coller of the waistcoat Bernice thought looked so cute on them.
Susan had composed herself and seemed about to say something but at that moment Bernice herself rounded the corner at the top of the stairs and stopped short when she saw the couple with the monkey.
"oh, my little darling, I was so worried" gushed Bernice as she took the monkey from Hans and held it like a mother would a toddler. Then she looked at Hans warily, ignoring Susans look of pure hatred, "I'm so sorry, I've been keeping them in my room, they looked so lonely and unhappy in the cages in the hold"
Hans looked at her Sternly but with a kindness,
"You should have mentioned it to me first my dear lady, I quite understand, but a cabin designed for the use of human passengers is hardly suitable or secure enough for creatures such as these to be loose in. First thing in the morning I shall have a large cabin refitted so as to be more suitable for such a purpose"
"Oh, thank you, thank you" Bernice looked as though she were considering going down on him then and there but with a side glance at Susan decided it was not a wise idea.
As she turned to take the monkey back to her cabin, Hans reached across and took the skull from its grasp. Susan, who appeared to have forgotten about the item in her anger over what should have been an oportunity for her to rectify her mistake of overeagerness in the Vegas room and make some progress, gave a small squeak but thought better of fainting in the direction of Hans, he had made it clear that she would have to be a little more subtle in her attempts.
"This, on the other hand, should be returned to its rightful owner" He said and promptly turned away from Bernice, a subtle dismissal, who started towards her cabin.
As Hans seemed quite engrossed inspecting the skull, Susan, feeling she had been slighted, followed Bernice round the corner. She up with caught her a few paces down the corridor and grabbed her by the back of the extremely low-cut top she was wearing and pulled her round to face her. The monkey let out a very strange noise and jumped away and ran down the corridor.
"You little bitch!" said Susan in a low voice so as not to be overheard "I would've had a chance then"
Bernice, who caught on quickly in matters such as this, replied quickly and haughtily "Make your own chances you golddigging hussy" Not making any effort to keep her voice down
"Hussy!? Speak for yourself, I don't just go after any low-life like some people I could mention" Susan retorted
"At least I make it clear what I want..." Bernice obviously had more to say on the subject but was cut off by the ringing tones of Hans as he rounded the corner.
"Ladies, Please, if you have a problem we have many ways on this ship by which you can settle your differences. Please, both meet me in my office tomorrow morning at ten o'clock so we can arrange something"
He stood and watch them leave in opposite directions before retiring to his cabin himself.

Honestly, I'd never written a fictional story in my life until I joined up here; mostly just very odd rambling journal-esque things about religion and whatnot.
And look at me now...21 parts in a fictional series (that I should write more of before Brdn starts yelling at me again).

I wish I could promise you more but I think that's the first piece of creative writing I've done since I left school, although I think I feel a rant coming on and I reckon this is the place to let it out so that might my second post.

I'm such a slacker; I even slack off at slacking off.
Ha Ha, that's pretty damn funny. I think I'd have to re-read them all if you posted another installment cause it's been a while. would like to see more but I'm done harassing you.
I also never wrote a lick of fiction before coming here and then suddenly plopped out a fifty part short story. I don't think much of what I've written since but I'm enjoying it so what the hell.

QOTD: I hope you write more stuff and stick around a while. We can always use more good users.

Good job. I love this!
NEW RULE: if someone can't find an interested party to take over the story within a reasonable amount of time, say a few hours, then anyone who has previously written an installment can be allowed to continue it.

we should change the rules otherwise this would die out.
You have to wait until at least 2 people have written then you can
jump back in.

I know.
You shouldn't really listen to anything I say.
Sometimes I try to be sincere about things annoying me here, but then I remember that I only come here to waste time.
You did write I good segment, and I look forward to more from your own imagination.
I would explain what I mean, but you know what I mean.

Kre8rix, I did actually write it yesterday in about 3 hours (customers being rude enough to interrupt me frequently) as a 'Part 5' after I saw SG's abortive first attempt but I didn't get there in time, the only bit I wrote today was the first paragraph after an inspired suggestion from ETS

I'd join in but that would require me to read the other four installments

I'm not allowed.
Thats part of the whole deal. One installment per person.
It's ok though, I stand by my entry. I still laugh every time I read it, and that's rare.

Nice.
I'm going to call a bit of an unfair advantage, however, seeing as I was told I had to write mine in an hour and actually wrote it in about 15 minutes because I actually had work to do that day. Everyone else seems to be getting an entire day.
I would pout, but it's not really my style; I'm going to go trip some old people instead.
Yeah, where is sped?
