I just finished reading the aforementioned post. I am not, nor have I ever claimed to be, a serious writer! Am I all alone here? What is this "serious writers forum" bullshit all about? I mean come the fuck on. When was the last time the front page saw more than 2 posts, at the same time, that contained anything serious? GET OVER IT! Your "serious" forum has been overtaken by those who aim to quench the Ubermasses thirst for humor. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the works of the few users on Uber who take the time to write very entertaining and heartfelt stories...but to label this a serious forum...
Normally, I don't post shit dealing strictly with my opinions, I use my freedom of reply to vent that anger. It just seems like every once in a while someone will get accused of being in the "wrong place" for a particular type of post. I'm sure Uber was created by the "serious" mind of Bart, with intentions of "serious" writers ONLY, but those days are loooong gone - check for yourself if you must! Click on 30 random posts from the last year, not including Ubermadness, I'll bet you get 2 out of 30! I have already proven my point with the title of this post. "NSFW" and "Naked" will get you quadruple the hits of a serious something or other...most people will not even take the time to click on them untill they empty the front page of all possible heat and tits.

I know I am not alone here, but who will admit the demise of the "serious" forum with me? To be determined I guess. Everyone is here for a reason. Some for acceptance, some for pedophile stalking ammunition, some for a lifemate. Not many for a really good story nowadays -
Personally, I lurked around for about 3 months before I signed up, and I did so with the intentions of enjoying:
1. Heat
2. Humor
3. Reading the occasional funny mishappenings of others
4. MAYBE meeting some new/interesting people
5. Swampdonkey posting something naked.
6. Anything getting Beebed
7. and hitting the occasional Ubercon in order to......

I can't write for shit, either. I see the occasional "serious writer forum" complaint myself and it has often raised my curiosity. I've read many, many posts on Ubersite over the last couple years and never at any time would I have called it a serious writer's forum.
I believe those that call for this to be a serious forum either:
A. Are gay.
B. Get no sex.
C. Get no butt sex.
D. All of the above.
I can only dream that one day every post on the front page will contain tubgirl in some fashion or another.

no shit NSFW gets you hits. how do you think I made the mva? it wasn't with my legions of devoted fans, that's for sure - however things are a bit more restrictive nowadays, it'll be hard for a newcomer to follow the path I took. I can't even do it myself.
(it's true that in the past a lot of users tried to post serious fiction and political posts. however, at least in the last 2 or 3 months, this has very much not been the case. take JMG, who used to pump out brilliant fiction post after brilliant fiction post day after day. no longer. also, you guys have never seen Habeeb in his prime. he's been in a major slump for months. basically, you haven't been around long enough to see much of the site. it definitely has changed, there are far fewer new writers distinguishing themselves by their writing as opposed to their behaviour - I'm hard pressed to think of any well known new authors above 15k. most new folk try to make a big splash, cause a big stink. in fact, I can't think of any decent talent past 18k.)
