As a short follow-up to my first, http://www.ubersite.com/m/70623 I am celebrating with a nature post today. The top right picture in the previous post is a much further away view of the falls shown below.
Sloshing and stumbling through the swampy jungle, we headed up the mountain to the lookout point for Angel Falls. It was late in the afternoon and the sun was having trouble filtering through the canopy of green above us. The moss-covered fallen trees and vine-choked trunks made the floor dim and cool, despite the heat. Drops of water fell randomly from the expanse of leaves overhead, and it began to rain again. Nothing was ever dry, least of all me. I laughed again at the tourists some 20 minutes behind me, struggling uphill in their plastic raincoats. I'd already beaten the mountain itself, this was just an extra shower I wouldn't have to take.
I couldn't see it yet, but I could hear it. Far off thunder. "Churun Meru" the natives called it, Thunder Falls. Water coming down so far could not help but nearly shake the earth itself. The climb got harder, more rocky, as I got closer to the base of the mountain again. Coming around a bend, the trees opened up to show me our goal, and before long, I was there. As close as you could get without the raging winds making it near impossible..over a mile away.
979 m (3,211 ft), with an uninterrupted drop of 807 m (2,647 ft) Angel Falls is unmatched in all the world.

Your picture could be in National Geographic.

He's right, when I first looked at it I thought it was a gif, the water looks like it's falling.
