It would seem that the world is so ready to label you just at face value, almost everyone will remember a moment where someone decided you were guilty without trial.
This is the day it happened to me ...
I have a friend I use to work with she's quite pretty however she was blessed with one of the biggest noses you have ever seen (Her fathers Greek, I think it a smaller version of his, meaning his is huge).
She took some time off work to get some surgery done, she told all of us that she needed to get some work on her nasal passage to help her breath ... However its doesn't take much to read between the lines ... NOSE JOB
She took some time off work, the whole operation was done in under an hour and she went home the same afternoon, for a couple of days I was her new slave, so this meant trips to get her things and stuff like that.
After about 3 days of this I was over it, I called her up and told her that I would be around later that evening and that we would go out and pick up something to eat and a DVD or something.
I arrived and she wasn't ready, no big surprise, however she didn't seem to be in any hurry ... I took up position on the couch and started the "Are you ready yet", "When will you be ready" and "Are we going now".
Ninety minutes later and we left her place, she lives in a good central location so we decided to walk, to quote one of my favorite bands "the first place we hit was the liquor store" replacing liquor with cheese cake (I love Sublime).
Now its around closing time for the cheese cake store and they are trying to get rid of the shelve stock, there's half a chocolate gâteau but I am so wanting a whole one, not that we can eat a whole one but because I want to be able to eat this cake at multiple sessions.
The guy behind the counter is adamant that he doesn't have an entire cake out back, yes that's right he wants to get rid of this half a cake that been sitting here all day. He looks at my friend as we are talking about what we could get instead, then he looks at me and there's a pause. All of a sudden he decides that he does have a whole cake, you get that sort of feeling we are meant to be friends now and best of all he charges us half price ... go figure.
So that's desert covered, we make our way to the chicken shop just on the corner, they do some of the best over roasted chicken with spices in town, we decide to order and then go across to the video store and get a DVD. I notice the guy taking down our order giving me almost the same look as the guy from the cheesecake store and then when he's taking the order I am again treated like a long lost friend ... .
I still haven't figured it out, maybe the service standards have gone up since last time I was in town.
We went over to the video store and started to browse for a DVD, of course it was going to be something I didn't want to see so I decided to have no opinion and this made deciding pretty easy. So with DVD in hand we went up to the counter, my friend put the DVD on the counter and the guy serving scanned it and then her card, I was busy amusing myself by looking in the ice cream freezer thinking about what flavors I liked the most. Now I looked up to see the guy behind the counter and its that same look again, now I am thinking that it must be gay service day at all three stores. Then the guy leans over and says to my friend "there's a late fee of $22 on your account, but don't worry I have cleared it" for some reason this guy thinks he is whispering or maybe I just have big ears. We leave the store and even get a parting goodbye from the guy serving, very strange indeed.
So Cake and DVD covered, back to pick up the mains, we go in there and our order is just being packed, I grab it and assume that it's wrong as usual, however I go to check and there's more in there than I ordered. I was about to explain to the guy behind the counter when he says "I included some extras ... enjoy" ... back to my evening of long lost friends.
So it would seem that we won 3 out of 3 tonight, a half price cake, extras at the chicken store and a $22 dollars saving at the video store. We get back to her place, we are about to sit down to dinner and it dawns on me.
I had been judged by complete strangers they have treated me/us in this manner for a reason.
Now when you have a nose job there is another temp side affect, this is not a picture of my friend but it will give you the idea.
I guess I was assumed guilty.

I actually live in the states. Which is good and bad I hated not being able to get carried away with the whole tour thing like I have in years past but being over here and so far removed from it meant that it was about all I could do to get access to the games there was no feeling of being caught up in it all.
Of course with the way the tour turned out that has also been a positive I've basically just put it down to Lions tour? what Lions tour?
