The Top Ten Movies of All Time (1138 hits)

If you had to pick a list of the top ten movies of all time, what would you pick? Most people tend to pick movies that are universally regarded as being great, regardless of whether or not they themselves thought the movie was great. For example, I'm sure most lists would include something along the lines of "Citizen Kane." I didn't include that movie because I saw it and I thought it was a steaming pile of horse shit. "Rosebud"...bitch please. That's just a euphemism for the bung hole.

I compiled this last based on movies that provided me with the greatest amount of exhiliration...inspiration. Movies that made me think differently about life. So without any further delay, I present to you my list of the top ten movies of all time (in no particular order).

1. Scarface
2. Goodfellas
3. Terminator 2
4. Sin City
5. The Godfather, Part II
6. Back to the Future
7. The Shining
8. Dr. Strangelove
9. Saved by the Bell: Hawaiian Style
10. Full Metal Jacket

I know I already -2'd his posts... But I laugh that he cries, even when the rankings don't count. It is humorous to me, what can I say? Tonymontana is a pussy who acts like he is some bad ass.

The guy really claims he is a medical doctor. Could you imagine someone that is supposed to act like a fucking professional medical doctor acting like this asshat? I don't think so.

So? Do you feel good about -2ing every one of his posts? Have you accomplished what you set forth to accomplish? Does your life seem more fulfilled now?

-----------

looks like he got less than half.

'tis true, but I made this comment while he was in the middle of the action. I just assumed he would finish. Didn't realize that he was a lazy fuck.

not enough people here have The Shawshank Redemption in their lists. Plus, most of your films suck. I know taste is all relative, but mine is obvisouly better than yours.

1. Scarface (over-rated)
2. Goodfellas (would crack top ten, but 2?)
3. Terminator 2 (please, doesn't age well at all.)
4. Sin City (uh, it's ok...but no way it's even top 30)
5. The Godfather, Part II (1>2)
6. Back to the Future (agree there)
7. The Shining (sure)
8. Dr. Strangelove (another over-rated flick.)
9. Saved by the Bell: Hawaiian Style (no comment)
10. Full Metal Jacket only the first half is good. once pyle blows his brains out, they should have faded to black. right there.)

I'm disappointed that I didn't see Clockwork Orange on anyone's lists.

I didn't really like Scarface. Probably because it's so highly regarded by fucking everyone that when I saw it it was going to take too much to impress me. It's not a bad movie, but it certainly isn't worth the acclaim, either.

Ghostbusters is the bomb, even though its full of jew propaganda. Anyone who doesnt pick ghostbusters because its 'just a comedy' needs to back the fuck up.

It doesnt matter really , how is this information of any importance ...

Movies that I would actually sit though a second time ...

Any of the first 3 Star Wars.
Robocop.
Pulp Fiction.
Once were Warriors (Fuck I couldnt leave it out)
LOTR - Any of those.
Bad Boys.
Conan.

So as you can see - you wouldnt stand a chance of getting 2 lists the same.

I'm sorry, but there's no way "Scarface" gets in the top 10. Talk about "universally regarded as being great"--every dimwit thinks this film is God's gift because of the overused lines (of dialogue), but it has some of the shittiest acting I've ever seen. The rest of your list is respectable, though. Mine is better:

1. Full Metal Jacket
2. Braveheart
3. The Shawshank Redemption
4. Goodfellas
5. The Big Lebowski
6. Planes, Trains, and Automobiles
7. Dr. Strangelove
8. Hoosiers

Tired idea, but I HAVE to give this a +1, as I laughed when I saw 'Saved By the Bell' on there.

My top 10 would have to include either Bull Durham or Field of Dreams. Both are equally kickass.
