...at least that's what I think when I read a title with "uberpoll" in it.

Now to the poll. Don't worry, I'm gonna deliver the moneyshot since you clicked the post. Besides, it's a slow Uber morning.

I work in an office, like most of you - well, at least those of you with hair on your hoo hoos - and I love office supplies. Specifically pens. I love me a motherfucking pen. I live 30 miles from the office and I have been know to turn around and drive back home to retrieve my favorite pen so I can write with it at work. 60 miles round trip at 12 miles per gallon equals 5 gallons at $2.13 a gallon equals $10.65 equals "I need help."

On trips to Wal-mart, Staples, OfficeMax, Office Depot, Target: don't even think I'm not going to spend a gaggle of minutes looking at the new arrivals to the pen department. They come in on Tuesdays(j/k).

I have pens for all occasions. Pens for signing checks only. Red pens for marking drawings for the CAD monkeys. Pens for meetings only. Pens for taking notes only. Pens that look good clipped in my shirt.

I have $1000 dollar Mont Blanc pens and $1000 Parker pens. Antique unused fountain pens. Major collectable pens. I have serious issues. I have been know to go postal on a mofo if I even think they might have one of my pens.

But my favorite, by far, is a little known(in this part of the planet, at least) German pen that looks like a bumble bee.

Please tell me there are more like me out there. Please tell me I'm not alone in my obsession of pens. What's your favorite? You know you have one.

Feast your eyes on mine...

I like the uniball vision 0.3 mm, in blue. The ink flows well, the line is thin, and the blue looks blue, not navy. The green is also okay for making side notes.

I love Zebra Pens as well.

They just fit comfortably in your hand and write smoothly.

I have a pen that ran out of ink about three years ago that's pink and in blue letters says "I love Stinky Pinkies."

With my old company I took this radiations Safety Officer training. At the end of the ocurse they had a test, and gave out prizes to the people with the highest score. I got first place so they let me pick first.

The three prizes were a pen of some type, I don't remember what, but it was fancy and they said worth well over a hundred dollars. Then there was a shower bag with a radiation symbol on the side that said "a source of inspiration" (the class was about radioactive sources-get it haha). And the third was some bullshit that was so bad I don't even remember it.

Anyway I go up and grab the shower bag, since I could pick first. I had packed for this training class a little drunk so I didn't have my shower bag, and I could use a spare so I always have an overnight bag. Then the lady running the course stopped me and reminded me it was a really nice and expensive pen, and asks if I want to reconsider. I then reminded her it was just a fucking pen and I would lose it.

In short, your collection blows. But reading about someone as obsessed about pens as you did make me smile.

I like the space pen...you know the one....it writes upside down

...cause I often find myself needing to write upside down

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jesus, I actually own a space pen, also. The fucker will write underwater, too. And I'm glad to know I'm not the only freak. I have a ritual that I'll let all interested in on: Whenever I sign a set of drawings (blueprints), I always buy a new fountain pen to do the signing. And it's usually an expensive one if it's a big school project, or something.

Also, I realize this was a shit post, but I really wanted to post something other than nasty pussy and fat sausage fingers and half-filled water balloon titties.

Here's a little known fact NASA spent litteraly hundreds of thousands of Dollars developing that pen.

The Russians just used a pencil.

My son really likes all pens. Especially when he draws all over the walls. I think the aSharpie is his favorite though.

Got a few nice Parker fountain pens lying around. Though personally I think the coolest item of stationery ever created is the mini-stapler.

I understand. I have an affinity for my Cross pen. It just ... writes so well. I enjoy writing with it. It's beautiful. The right pen can really make all the difference.

This was a really bizarre post though. And now I also feel like a freak.
=============================================

I have to admit, I collect (and use) fountain pens. Actually my boss has over 1000 pens in his collection, he has some that cost in the thousands as well, mine is only at the 200 mark, with my most costly being worth a mere $900. and yes, I also feel a bit like a freak...

I loaded up on about $50 worth of this one brand of cheap ink pen at the beginning of the year. That's about 70 of the pens, too. Good stuff.

I always seem to have a whiteboard pen in my handbag. If there was ever an emergency situation and I had to teach, I'm prepared. As long as there is a whiteboard, obviously. And a board wiper.

Won't go to a +2, just for the boring subject matter.
But I roll with a Zebra F-402. Fine Point
Good for blue prints and drawing overly busty cartoons.
