I'm sorry man, but that's bullshit, this website alone tells a different story. Americans are renound for being vocal about how great they are. I don't deny I got it from TV, my sources include family guy, the simpsons, married with children, short circuit, kindergarten cop.

Normally they were drunk off their asses, but still I never lead a toast to America, well except for "AMERICA, FUCK YEAH!!" but those were hardly serious. I don't think you people do this everyday, but an average TV snapshot of the UK for me would include a huge parade for the Queen.
If I put up a post trashing the UK most of the UK would defend it. If I put one up trashing the US half would defend it and half would support it.

Dude, you're crazy. I've never in my life toasted the queen, never watched a parade, and definitely never had to learn a pledge. To my knowledge we don't even have one! School teaches Maths, English Science. When we were very little we did a nativity play, but I guarantee not one normal kid in this country could tell you who the last prime minister was. If you're over 20 you'll know it was John Major and possibly know the one before that but you guys get your presidents drilled into you.
American TV can exaggerate all it wants but I know that your schools teach you American history from a young age, drill your presidents into you and push you through that whole pledge thing. Above all they squeeze American pride into you as much as they posibly can... who ever heard of the English dream? Don't get me wrong I would never percieve to "bash" Americans because I love the ones I've met in real life and on this crazy place. I just disagree with your government and its teachings.

Holidays that celebrate military victories, I wouldn't know about that I work every day of the year unless it is a Wednesday or a Sunday, or I have booked it off. How can you tell me that it was worth it, though ? You killed a billion Chinese in Korea (many through germ warfare) and a squillion gooks in Vietnam and come out of both of them no better off.
The French shouldnt have even bothered fighting an uprising against their colonial rule - they were the smart ones to get out of there . The uprising would have happened anyway under a different banner similar to the Indians against the British, its just that using the term communism gave them that extra funding that they needed. Stalin and Mao didnt give a fuck about Vietnam until the Americans got involved.

This is an interesting point. I see what you are getting at. I could see how a white American could get wrapped up in radical muslim extremism and end up fighting in another country against US soilders in a Jihad. I think it is a whole different level of crazy for that same person to strap a bomb to himself and blow up people in the US.
Profiling by itself doesn't work, but using profiling as a guide would def make screenings or searches more efficient.
