Hey there all you crazy warm beer drinking, wrong side of the road driving, cool accent talking limeys, how's it going?

I hope all is well, and now I need some help from you all.

My Finacee and I are currently in the process of arranging a move. This move was scheduled for Australia, my gal's native country (and yes, she does steal a lot). All my focus has been on getting into a good MBA program there, and I'm basically on the final step of getting into a good school there.

Enter the monkey wrench.

Just the other day, my fiancee sees an internal add for her company posting a job in London. It would be perfct for her, and we talked about her applying. In the end, we thought that it would be a great experience for both of us to live in London for a couple of years, her working and me going to school.

Well, seeing as my plans have been completely thrown up in the air, I now find myself scrambling to find a good MBA program in the UK. I've checked all the well known schools, and I was able to figure out some information, but what I really need to know is whether they're worth it or not, and exactly which schools give offer the best MBA.

I've tried looking it up online, but every school ranking site seems to have a different ranking.

So, I now come to you, the bangers and mash populace.

Do you know which schools actually offer the strongest MBA programs and which schools would you recommend?

Thanks, here's a picture of something Bristish.

free advice: if you're going to study business, don't expect to find graduate work in the UK. the unis turn out shitloads of "management" and "business" graduates, and they just don't find work because their degrees are useless. seriously, without value.

That's basically what I said!

Fair enough.

However, I do not plan on staying in the UK. I only plan to go to school there while my fiancee is working there. I will then take my degree and work in either Australia or Canada, where MBAs do mean something.

Actually, doing a little research on my own, I found a study (looked pretty good) showing that the London School of Business is the 7th best MBA program in the world. Cambridge was 12th.

Just for background info, GPA was 3.2 (around 87%) in college, major was Economics. GMAT 690 (92 percentile).

That means that I'm so smart that I can crush you just by think of seeing your body implode.

Also, I really like shiny stuff, and that means I'm super smart.

Ahh nuts yep you all the really clever kids take business degrees. It's only the retards that take buisness.

As you can probably guess my degree wasn't in English either

Oh yeah the reason (at least partly) why MBA is not a big deal over in England is that Buisness degrees in general aren't that well thought of. It's basically seen as an easy option and one that shit load of kids who just want to go to Uny and Doss for 4 years take. It's also the degree that most of my buddies (although not your's truly I hasten to add) graduated with.

If you're gonna be based in London you will be able to find a decent School.

The best thing to do is check out the UCAS website (University and Colege Admission Services) http://www.ucas.com/ This is the entity that all students in the UK have to go through to get a place at Uny.

I don't know your grades or what you'll need or what specail circumstances you may have to deal with as a foreign student so I can't recomend anywhere but they are the people to get in touch with to find out the answers.

Hope this helps.

shit, I don't even think you can get an MBA here, given the responses below. none of us had even heard of it, and we are all highly educated literati.

MBA = Masters of Business Administration

What it means for knowledge is basically nothing.

What it means for career is a lot of money. Doing research, and MBA averages people a 40% increase in salary. That's a lot.

I should not that I don't plan to stay in the UK, it's just a probable 2 year stint.

What is an MBA for?

I think you want to go to the London School of Economics, Oxford or Cambridge.

I lived in Cambridge when I was doing my 1st degree- it is a cool, if slightly old fashioned university city. London is the most expensive place to go, but exciting and cosmopolitan, and Oxford is a nice place too.

What places are you considering?

My teeth are fine too, I think the problem americans have with our teeth is that we dont feel the need to bleach them and have them perfect rectangles.
Mine are a bit wonky and a bit yellow but theres nothing wrong with them, by dentist keeps telling me how amazing they are I think he wants to clone them or something.

They're still pretty highly regarded in France, but you have to be in an ongoing course with some manner of institution.

Ok, here's what you do. First things first, shave your head. I cannot stress how important it is not to have any gay hair on your head if you are a foreigner in London. If you do have any hair you'll end up gang raped by a bunch of street pervs.

Horrifyingly that's not a joke.

Second thing to do is to remember that whilst in Britian you must not make eye contact with anyone whilst on public transport. This is our most sacred (dare I say only real) social tradition. Violation of this law will result in no-one taking you seriously and you shall be 'blackballed'.

That is something so unpleasant I cannot bring myself to write about it.

Finally be resigned to the fact that Londoners will lie to you and cheat. Be very wary of them at all times and always assume that every man's primary intention is to steal your girl and make you cry. Assume every woman who lusts after you is spiteful and seeking to belittle the size of your manhood with scathing Cockney humour, stay the fuck away from those whores.

As a side note you may want to buy a firearm off some yardies to make yourself feel more comfortable/safe. Don't. Yardies are fucking mental. Go to the outlying countryside and find some old boy with a shop instead.

Good luck and for Gods sake don't forget to spike your woman's drink and food with drugs to curb her naturally promiscuous nature.
