I have to ask, where are all the aid pledges from the rest of the world?
I don't think that they are coming. They may. Our friends at the UN may decide to get together and cut us a couple of checks. I doubt that they would be substantial checks. Though, that is not really my gripe here. I would gladly accept a token couple of million Euros from Germany. I would see that Publisher's Clearing House sized check as an inter-national sympathy card, simply saying, "Our thoughts are with you." In this case, it is the thought that counts.

You bash America even when we need help. You are a douche bag but I agree. As much aid that the US has dished out and not even a fucking thank you. After the tsunami they were bitching about the US being stingy. The Coalition for the Defamation of America here on Uber always fails to point out any humanitarian gestures from the US. Its like a cafeteria, they pick and choose issues as it suits their daily arguments. Ungrateful bastards. No one is asking for a dick-sucking but at least point out the good with the bad instead of the everyday demonizing that occurs.

Difference being that most aid support is usually given to countries where the population have no insurance or insufficiant infrastructure to help themselves.
