Only one of those bands had their heyday after the 80's ended. You can't make a list of the top 16 songs of all time and totally disregard everything from the last 15-25 years. Bone Thugs recorded a song called "Tha Crossroads" (from E 1999 Eternal) and another called "Crossroad" (from I forget). I assume he's referring to Tha Crossroads, which is widely agreed to be one of the greatest rap songs of all time.
Maybe everyone making fun of it simply doesn't appreciate rap.
