I know this was a tradegy in your lives when this powerful tropical cyclone devastated your power and made your milk and eggs go bad. This monster of a storm exceeded tropical storm force winds by a whole five miles per hour. It could take hours, even days for everything to get back to normal.
But don't despair. The United States of America has an amazing arsenal of 200 North Carolina National Guard troops that will fix your crooked street signs, and help you clear your yard of that storm debris. And to that surfer that was lost at sea last night when the hurricane struck, we will immortalize your memory with a 5 line obituary on the 20th page of the Wilmington newspaper.
It's national tragedies like these that make us realize that even in the worst of situations, people will unite through the worst of it, no matter how many terrible canned meals they have to eat.
