My friend Chris and I have been locked in an epic debate for the past two weeks, if Tom Brady were to get injured this season and his career ended, would he make the Hall of Fame? Don't get me wrong everytime I see the guy play he is kicking the shit out of someone but he has only been in the league for six years and six years is not a career.
His stats are good and the fact that he has been on 3 super bowl winners and the MVP twice is nothing short of amazing but it's only been six years. I may personally hate this asshole and I wish the Bills had him but is 6 years worthy of the Hall?
I think not.
So uber football fans would you vote Brady in if his career were to end this Sunday?

I'd like to see him play on a shittier team to see what he can really do.
I completely agree.
Right now, there is no way Tom brady will be a Hall of Famer. He is a great QB, but the Hall is for players who have put together a fantastic career, or have put up numbers in a short period that are absolutely amazing. Brady's numbers are good, but there are better QB's out there.
On a side note, how many people would have liked to see Barry Sanders keep playing? Best back I've ever seen play the game. Had he not retired early he would own every record in the book, despite playing for the Lions.

I'm a Raiders fan.
Fuck him and his tuck rule.
I wouldn't vote him into anything.
Plus he doesn't deserve right now. Although a very good career so far, just not long enough to be HOF worthy.

Jeanneee, I salute you. Tom Brady has a terrible case of penis envy when it comes to Peyton Manning.

Here's my take on it:
The way Brady plays, he needs a long career to make The Hall. Six years just wouldn't get it done for him. I'm guessing he needs at least 10 years with good stats.
Peyton Manning, however, would be in if his career ended this weekend - even though he's yet to win a championship.

as a diehard pats fan, i instinctivly want to say, "YES TOM BRADY RULES!" or something else worthless like, "GO PATS!"
but when i think about it, it takes me a minute to think it through.
on one hand, he's only played 4 1/2 seasons. but he's dominated the world in 3 of them. thats a pretty solid ratio.
the pats are known as a 'team' team...but he leads it, and without him it wouldn't/didn't happen. drew bledsoe couldn't. fucking michael bishop couldn't.
i think you have to vote for him first ballot. he's the catalyst that makes the patriots such a great team. players have come and gone, brady's been the leader, and the figurehead, for the whole run.
he wins. whats his wi nning percentage? fucking 90% or better? you can't argue with that. if brady goes down, and the pats still continue to tear it up, then you gotta give the credit to belichek, and that takes some of brady's merit away. but if brady goes down, and the pats stink it up, you know.
its a question you can't answer properly until it happens.
but i say brady wins 6 superbowls, and ends up marrying jessica alba and making beautiful pats fan babies.

It depends on how he does with Charlie Weiss. I think he was a system quarterback who will wallow in averageness until someone recreates the system.

I'm on the fence with Brady, but consider this: Maybe the most underrated running back in NFL history outside of Chicago is Gale Sayers, who, in only 68 career games ran for just shy of 5,000 yards and rushed for 39 TDs, while also receiving 9 TDs and going for over 1,300 yards. The man also had over 2,700 kick return yards and 9 return TDs and is regarded as maybe the best kick returner ever. He is also the youngest man elected to the Hall of Fame. Now, I don't know if Brady's numbers get him in there, but he wouldn't be penalized for his number of games played.

I'd say yes, but not as a first ballot. He would sit and wait it out until guys more worthy make it. But give him even another few average years and he's a top HoF candidate.

I think Steve Lomas deserves a shot at the hall of fame.
His steadfast performance in the West Ham Midfield over the years deserves some recognition.
