You've felt the immense pressure and heartache associated with choosing a "path", "religion", "faith", "belief"--having to choose between your family and friends and your own beliefs, witnessing the damaging words that happen when your friends and family argue about who's religion is "right".
What they don't understand is that The Spirit communicates to each person individually, and what is right for one person may not be the path that was communicated to another. You can believe that Jesus is the Son of God, or that Mohammed was the true Prophet, or that Buddhism is the way to true enlightenment... or The Spirit may have directed your path in a completely different and unique way. There are people in surburban areas who weekly gather and they are fulfilled, yet there are people who seek solitude to commune with The Spirit who are leading equally-fulfilled lives. You can believe that your way is the only right way for you, and at the same time others can believe that their path is the only path for them. The great thing is that everyone is right because they are communing with The Spirit in their own individual way.
A. Our Beliefs
A.1 Heiarchy
We have no heiarchy, no leadership. This is because we believe no one should presume to lord over another. No one should presume to tell another that their understanding of the nature of The Spirit is incorrect because it expresses itself to each one uniquely.
We have, however, found that it is effectacious and conducive to developing an open forum and promoting free thought-flow without fear of criticism or derision to temporarily establish positions for a given session. They are as follows:
Facilitator: These individuals give an informal start and end to the session and try to keep it going by suggesting discussion topics.
Enabler: Enablers empower other individuals by supportive and positive comments, and attempt to keep sessions a safe and positive place by encouraging others to do the same.
Again, we stress that these positions are temporary and do not suggest that one is somehow above another. They are merely a means to the end of a successful session in which participants can be uplifted and enlightened.
A.2 Law
We have no pre-established "holy book" because, once again, we believe that no one except you can decide how you should live. Instead, dispensed at sessions are 5x7 books bound with the title of "My Commission and Tenets from the All-Inclusive Spirit". You will note that the pages are completely blank. We encourage each individual to truly follow their heart and write down what they feel The Spirit has communicated to them. We recommend writing in pencil because as your life progresses, you may go through different seasons and find that what was once a guiding principle doesn't apply any more.
However, you should not limit yourself at all to this method. Much can be learned from the wise of many beliefs, such as the the authors of the Bible, Qu'ran, the Talmud, as well as the teachings of Confucious, Buddah and countless others who have contributed many pearls of wisdom that we can grasp on to in our search for fulfillment and enlightenment. Drink deeply from the well of the wisdom and knowledge of those who have come before you and found enlightenment, but don't be afraid to disregard parts that don't apply to you. There is only one you, and no one but you can truly forge your path toward enlightenment and ultimate fulfillment.
B. Membership
We don't believe in memberships. No card to fill out, no mandatory meetings to attend. No monthly fees masked as "tithes". If you want to participate in a session, you are more than welcome to attend, but you don't need to. How we commune with The Spirit is entirely dependant on what we individually feel led to do. Some may worship, some may shout. Some may want to gather and commune while others prefer to do so alone in their own homes.
We have sessions as a sort of support for those who desire it, who feel that they can be better enlightened by discussing the experiences of others. You are however not required to attend any sessions.
We hope that you can begin your journey towards enlightment and true life fulfillment through your communication with The Spirit.

I'll be honest, I didn't read this. a) because I'm drunk and b) because I don't care about other people's religious beliefs.
The only reason that I hit this post is to smile as I read the phrase "stay orange". That rocks.
