Last week, I downloaded some images off a website to use for a compilation album I'm designing as part of a final project for one of my classes in college. Since I usually have little to no patience when I'm working on a project, I forgot to save the address of the site I found the pictures on. I used Google to find examples of what I was looking for, found some decent ones, then closed out the browser and commenced working in Photoshop. But, there's a problem. I may need to give credit to the site I found the images on when I present the project at the end of the semester. I've tried searching Google, in vain, for over two hours today thinking of every possible combination of words I used last week to find them. Right now I'm ready to start gnawing my fingers off in frustration. The layout and design is basically complete and I don't want to spend another week redoing the entire thing because I couldn't find the fucking site.
So, I ask you, computer geeks of Uber, is it possible to search the internet using a picture instead of text? It's the only thing I can think of without having to do this whole project over. If anyone can help me out and find the original site, I'll +2 your last 10 posts. Hell, maybe all of your posts. I'm so irritated I'm close to grabbing this monitor and heaving it through my window. I remember the site is about some really old railroad line that no longer even has tracks down. It had lines drawn on photos to show where the railroad used to run. Purple and yellow lines, I think. I can't remember what state it's in, but it's definitely in the US. Please help me before I set fire to my computer and run out into the night Shrieking Like A Berzerker. Here's one of the pics I used:

Just give me credit cause that's my back yard.
Problem solved.
Or... just use a pornographic site address, something your teacher won't be able to check at work... like whitehouse.com NOT gov... com man.. com.

There will never be an image search. First of all you would need to database every image in existence onto a local setting, otherwise (something like google image searcher) would have to send out a sample (maybe 5x5 pixels/few bytes) to a billion different webpages/hosts, receiving hundreds of mb and a billion connections every search. So say you had them locally, the computing power to process scanning a sample against the same location on every image would be huge for each search. It will never happen. I would say a physical impossibility.

Remember when people were told a computer would never need more than 60k of space?
It seems like only yesterday that we began playing round with a dozen or so gigs. Now people are playing with terabytes.
Imagine telling people about Google Earth, or even the internet for that matter 30 years ago. They'd laugh in your face and crucify ya. It will one day be possible I think.

Perhaps now is a good time to meditate upon the importance of patience and self control.
Just find another picture. The whole 'it has to be perfect for my art' thing is not applicable to album covers. In fact I would say that people who remember or think a lot of album covers have flawed priorities.

Why didn't you just check your browser history? Glad you found it anyway.

Well son of a bitch, I finally found it.

If there's anyone who has a good knowledge of coding on this site, you could probably make a decent amount of money inventing a search engine that searches for copies of an uploaded image.
I'm going to go place my hand on a hot iron now for causing myself all this grief. Thanks anyways, guys.

Do you remember whether the site was about America? History? Specific to old railroad transport?
Those kinds of things would help enormously....

I changed the file names to something I could recognize, not 00496837304file.jpg. And as I said in the post, I don't want to go through another week's worth of work using a whole new set of images to incorporate. I just can't believe I can't find the same site using Google. I've gone through every combination of words I can think of.
Is there a search engine where you can input an image and have it search for a copy of itself?

Hey genius, why don't you find similiar pictures instead and just use those? YOu can find tons of pictures almost exactly the same as the ones you found. Just do a search from stream bridge, or river bridge

You know how when a person says "My friend is in trouble...." they really mean "I'm in trouble..."
When you say "I need to find the source of a picture of a bridge" I know you really mean "I found a picture of a woman with her own foot inside her cunt and I want to find the rest of the photo shoot"
