days like today should not be wasted. the heavy clouds hover in the air, and I don't want to do anything but be here. who can expect me to go anywhere today when the feeling in the air is like this? a peaceful breeze catches and swirls into my room, where I inhale, exhale, and fall back onto my bed.
the clouds block the pounding sun. shadows have overtaken my room, leaving only a small sliver of light to enter. my pearly blue quilt, with ratty blue tassels, waits for me. laying on my stomach, peering down at her, I see her scars. 2 ink spots stare back at me from the bottom of the bed. I don't know how they got there, and I don't want them to go away. she's imperfect, like me. she doesn't care about that, and I don't either. when I climb into bed, the quilt covers my heart; my coldness evaporates and my mind stops. we hold each other in a dysfunctional way: twisted, odd, yet normal and regular for us. she lets me tell her my fears, and she doesn't laugh or criticize. is this why I sleep when I'm depressed? because my quilt is my friend? laughable, but probable. my worries disappear when she wraps around me and I hold her. everything is gone, but peace, comfort, and happiness...

Seriously, her english teacher's from high school would probably wet themselves with glee over this. I mean... I can _feel_ that quilt.
I dunno, maybe its just because I've had similar intimate relationships with clothing and bedding... but no one wants to hear about that.
Honestly, though, good writing.

fuck. normally i wouldn't mind the cloudy weather...but now, i hate it.
it's signalling the approach of old man winter...and in cleveland, that sucks.
