This was easily the best weekend of my life.
Friday:
I left work 3 hours early. During my visit to human resources, I found out that not only would they let me leave early, no questions asked, but they would pay for a cab ride home! Woot!
Twenty minutes later, I arrived at home and got changed. I then graced the court with my Adidas shoes. Needless to say, I rule at indoor (and outdoor, for that matter) soccer. I'm still sore today, but it was well worth it.
Now, on to the good stuff.
I went to a garage party and smoked for the third time in my life. Apparently, you don't feel anything the first couple times you smoke weed. I didn't know this. Judging from my prior experiences, I decided I could smoke a lot more than I had before. Bad idea. Not only did I take in way too much, but I was drinking at the time, which I just found out is a horrible idea. Whatever. I had the giggles for a good 45 minutes. My best friend called me saying she was lost (and drunk) downtown and her ride left her. Normally, I'm Mr. Nice Guy and I'll drop anything for my friends...but all I could do was laugh. It was fun. I eventually got comatose-style tired and crashed on the couch.
Saturday:
What was destined to be a shitty Saturday morning turned out to be pretty interesting.
My friend (yes, he...uh...she's a girl) visited me at work. Things were fine until we started walking around a secluded part of the building. Have you ever had sex in a senior partner's office? I have. Hooray for teh secks at work!
After work, I napped for 4 hours...I needed to rest my mind and my body for the impending hurricane of rock that is the WEEZER/FOO FIGHTERS TOUR!
The Kaiser Chiefs (from England) opened and played a decent set. The only loud cheers they got were when they would say "Are you guys ready for Weezer?"
Weezer rocked all ass.
The setlist included a couple covers. They played Foo Fighters' "Big Me" and Blur's "Song 2" (Woo-hoo) perfectly.
Being the masters of all instruments that they are, the band members switched stuff up a lot.
Scott Shriner (bassist) sang "Dope Nose."
Rivers Cuomo (lead, vocals) ran across the floor to the other side of the arena and played an acoustic solo of "Island in the Sun." (Hip Hip!)
Patrick Wilson (drummer) played lead and sang "Song 2" while Rivers was on the drums. Near the end of the song, Scott Shriner and Brian Bell both accompanied Rivers on the drums...the only person not playing the drums was the drummer.
Some kid brought in a sign that said "I CAN PLAY UNDONE." They called the kid up on stage and he got to rock out with the gang. Shreddin' hot lixx with Rivers and Scott. I have never been more jealous of any person in my life.
The giant =w= sign sealed the performance and led to my inevitable erection/ejaculation.
I wasn't even going to stay for the Foo Fighters (I like them, but I wanted to go home). I'm so glad I stayed! Dave Grohl is one of the best entertainers I have ever seen.
That concert will probably be the best night of my life. I was singing (shouting) along with every song. Hell, I know every Weezer song by heart. I felt like a kid. I was so happy...still am.

Dave Grohl is one talented fucker. How many people can play drums, guitar and lead sing? Probably quite a few, but the fact that he is the one constant in Nirvana, Queens of the Stone Age (initially), Probot and Foo Fighters says alot about him.

At the FF, RHCP concert, Dave Grohl ran out in the crowd, climbed a huge speaker stack
in the middle of the audience, and proceeded to do a face melting solo from up there.
When he made his way back to the stage, I touched his arm.

Foo Fighters surprised the hell out of me.
i almost didn't even stay for them. i'm so glad i did.
dave grohl has a good screaming voice...not to mention he actually interacts with the crowd. i noticed a lot of stuff that sounded like jack black.

I just want you to know that I think wheezer sucks.
That being said, I went to see Red Hot Chili Peppers when Foo Fighters opened for them, and
Foo Fighters blew RHCP out of the fucking water!!
I've been a huge Dave Grohl fan ever since!

I've never really been that impressed with Weezer. Which isn't to say that I don't appreciate their songs, but rather that I've just never found myself raving about them to people when we're talking about bands and music.
Now the Foo Fighters, on the other hand. I've seen them twice, and both times they rocked out and left it all on stage. Certainly not THE best shows I've seen, but I walked away both times knowing that they gave everything that they could have given.
My preferences aside, congrats on having a great weekend.
Oh, and to chime in on Sublime. I was driving around town late on Friday night and caught 'Caress Me Down' on the radio. It'd been years since I'd heard it, and I'd forgotten just how awesome that song was. Is. Whatever.

Sounds like a great weekend.
+2 for smoking pot...don't worry it just gets easier with time and practice...but yeah no matter how good you are, if you are already drunk the pot will make the world spin.
Am I the ONLY PERSON IN THE WORLD THAT HATES WEEZER...well I suppose I'm the only one on Uber that does.

Weezer rocks. I flew all the way from Atlanta to Boston to see them play back in August 2000. I'm so jealous of your awesome weekend!
