hello fellow uberians i am AW4416 and i have just arrived to this uber world and i have to say.....it's pretty cool in my book.i was introduced to ubersite by a couple of freinds of mine morontian and to a lesser extent electric tooth syndrome. i have decided for my first submission to tell you little about who i am,likes,dislikes....you get the idea and this will be fairly breif as i will use future submissions to get more in-depth on many of these topics:
music: melodic rock,hard rock,metal/n.w.o.b.h.m/power metal/prog metal/hair metal/and most other forms of 80's influenced rock(i usually prefer the more obscure bands of a certain genre)
bands i like
AOR-frontline,jaded heart,alias,journey,etc
HAIRMETALand/or stuff like it- firehouse,stryper,dokken,winger,danger danger,etc
MELODIC METAL-loudness,5th angel,heaven's edge,glory,nation,etc
POWER METAL-edguy,primal fear,sinner,stratovarious,gamma ray,etc
PROG METAL-dream theater,nightwish,jag panzer,crimson glory,etc.
NWOBHM-saxon,iron maiden,judas preist,etc
and while i like other styles of music these are by far my favorites
I HATE- country,grunge,alternative,goth,modern rock,nu-metal, and or stuff like it.
i have been a musician for 25 years and i love what i do.....i'm currently the lead guitarist for the melodic rock band U-TURN who are signed with NOW AND THEN RECORDS(england)and i have been with them since july. we are gearing up to record the second record:

i don't believe in abortion,free downloading,or the notoin that one can be totally devoid of any kind of god be it jesus or money or self.....there is no such thing as an athiest.
as far as what i DO believe.... you'll figure it out soon enough as i am very vocal when i truly believe in something.

I've had some time to consider this post, and I have just a few words to say in AW's defense...
1: He really is a great guitar player by anyone's standards...one of the best I've heard in person. The ego might be a bit over-healthy at times, but I think this is more of a biproduct of actual talent than your run-of-the-mill self-delusion.
2: Sure his political, religious, and musical views aren't exactly what one might call 'uber compatible', but really what the hell is 'uber compatible'? I've heard dumber shit come out of Jack McCallum and CookieLass's mouth than anything he's said here, but people generally knock each other over to drool their foul oral bile on their twats. (Yes, I did mean 'twats' plural.)
3: If someone has an opportunity to escape the grind and follow their dream, I am all for it, and no matter how uncouth some of thier methods of self-promotion, everyone is entitled to a little learning curve now and again.
4: AW might lack some tact in his self-presentation at times, but, knowing him as a acquaintance, I can genuinely say he's always been nothing but straight with me. (Although I think he should seriously consider expanding your musical horizons beyond strictly metal, but that's just me.)
Anyway, good luck with your band and stuff, dude. I really hope it works out for you.

First: Your guitar riffs were great at first, and I'm a sucker for a kickass crunch. However, you sound like you're trying too hard to sound like Bon Jovi, and your lyrics are awful. Seriously, they really suck.
Secondly: Nobody cares what music you like, who you are, or how you found this site. We want you to dance like the monkey you are and tell us about something that's worth telling. You are not worth talking about. Don't talk about yourself. Ever.
Thirdly: Only ignorant fucks will ever say that they hate an entire genre. Country is the easiest to make fun of, so you do it just to fit in. You probably tuned in to a country station once in your life, heard a song that actually DID suck, and then associated that with all of country. I don't like much country, but country rock kicks more ass than you ever will. That's like saying that because you saw a black guy you didn't like, you hate all black people.... racist. Guess what? I hate the douchebags in the pop industry, but I'm man enough to admit I liked some songs by Brit Spears/Backstreet Boys/N'Sync/etc.
If you're serious about your music, maybe you should start thinking about the strong points other genres have to offer and why your lame ass wouldn't be where it is without genres like them.

Am also a musician (singer/guitarist) but I personally don't like your taste in music. Each to their own though..
And I don't find grammar "irrelevant". I think its fairly important. Its a writing website and its the least you can do. It's not as if we can see you, so I'm not even expecting you to comb your hair....

Well i'm still trying to figure out why people want to call me an "alter" as dense as it may sound.
Symphony X is a good band...totally slipped my mind...who do Dragonforce sound like.I go to the local store and if it has a cool cover,name,logo,etc i listen to it(unless of course it's Primal Fear,Stratovarious,or Edguy who can do no wrong)
i agree my band could be heavier and faster but they were raised on country and pop so wer are finding that middle ground where everyone can be happy. As for my musicianship i am working on getting some of my own music on my website so give me a couple weeks and check it out.I think you will like it better as it is more power metal like in sound.
