I work part time (I'm a penniless uni student) selling mobile phones in the centre of Perth, a city on the west coast of Australia. No, it is not anywhere near Sydney and no, we do not ride around on kangaroos.
As a consequence a large part of my clientele is people who use public transport because it is the easiest place to get to. Therefore, the people who come in are generally tourists who don't speak English (that's fun), drug addicts (the fun just keeps on coming) or aborginals.
Aboriginals smell. I've never met one that doesn't. Maybe if they washed regularly they wouldn't. Maybe it's just genetic, or cultural. But, I'm sorry, all the dirty Nyoongar (the "traditional owners" of the land which I am standing on) that come into my store or sit next to me on the train with 4 children in tow and a can of cheap bourbon and cola in their hand make me want to hold my breath.
Also, if I have one more asian man click his fingers at me when he wants service I'm going to tell him what he can do with those fingers. Repeatedly. Just because I am female and working a sales position doesn't mean you can click your fingers at me. I am not a dog.
As for the Americans, sorry, but your culture is wierd. And loud. God, Americans are loud. Everything is such a huge deal and you make a fuss over everything at the top of your voice. Calm the hell down. It's just a mobile phone.
And saying "back in the states, we do it like this" does not impress me. If you want to do it the American way, go back there. The whole world doesn't have to do things the way you do. You also teach creationism to your schoolchildren in some states, but I can't see any sane nation picking that up too fast.

English tourists are even worse than Americans in the condescension states. Whinging POMs. And winning the Ashes once in like, 25 years does not mean you are suddenly good at cricket.
(Interesting Note: Did you know POM means "Prisoner of Mother England"? I only just found that out)
Oh, and I'm sorry if this is too "generic" or bitchy or whatever. I have been lurking on Ubersite for awhile and it seems that if you have something really un-PC and totally offending to say, this is the forum to do it in. So there you go.

+2 simply because I too have noticed that abbos smell. Also the anti-English, anti-American, anti-Asian remarks clenched it.
I've always spelt it Pohm because I was told it was "Prisoner of Her Majesty".
