We should definitely make a round 2 post to start a fresh forum. I think Orgasmatron or Jack should do the honors.
I'm tempted to give Snark a title like "Butterflies are Pretty" or "Have you Ever See a Fluffier Cloud" or "P&L Statemetns for the Fiscal Year 2003 - 2004". But he's clever, and I don't want to play into his hands. Besides, accounting is terrifying enough.

Team Standings as of 1:30 pm Saturday (I have not finished reading all stories and ranking them, personally, so rankings can change as others preview over this evening and Sunday morning)
If the standings do not change drastically by 4:00 pm Sunday, are competitors comfortable with calling the first round at that time?
If so, then Jack can pick names for the second round and post them on Monday morning, giving us until Wednesday evening to post round two. Round two would then be called Friday afternoon.
The final competitors would then have the weekend to write and post their stories on Monday. The final scores will be tallied Tuesday and the first annual winner of Gruberfest would then be announced.

Competitors, I want to ask a question, and please give me an honest answer. It seems that many of the reader's feel that I went astray of the title I was given. What I was going for was what was behind the eyes of a spider, and its prey, "Its Behind the Eyes."
If the general consensus so far is that I missed the point of the title topic, I do not feel comfortable moving forward in the competition, should I win, since Brdn_Nkd stuck to title better.

No no no. I'd rather see a great story with a thin connection to the title than I would a horrible story that uses the title in every other sentence. (i'm not saying your opponents entry was terrible or did that -- just a hypothetical statement)
You DID incorporate your title, just not in a very solid way for me. I think title-connection isn't horribly important, as long as some effort is made I'm okay with that. You know, as long as your title isn't 'snow cones' and you write about a grisly murder in a winery or whatever.

Actually. After some thought I don't see any reason why your post should be disqualified. You have a connection to the title, you have some elements of horror, it's well written and entertaining. I was expecting more horror but I think that just comes from looking at the titles and stuff.
I will probably re-write mine and repost it regardless, I don't necessarily think you should have to redo yours unless you really want to or the group thinks you should. If I do repost just come and rate it honestly and let me know what you think, I expect it will be the same theme from a completely different perspective. I took on too many unknowns here.

Istaros is a great writer. I hope he gets my title submitted soon. Since I have no life, I'm not worried about the time it takes to get anything written, but I would like him to use MY title. If he doesn't make it in time, I'll go up against anybody on the back-up list. I still think "SELLING FLESH BY THE POUND" is an awesome title, so I have no problem with my competitor using that. Hopefully SOMEONE is paired up with me by tomorrow afternoon, so I can get a title and start writing...
