Someone, not sure who, made the suggestion before that everyone who was in the competition before should submit a title for the final round.
Could we do that? And then pick titles at random and assign them to people? Or first seven titles to get submitted get chosen and then assigned at random?
Of course no one currently participating could submit a title, that way there's no worry about people getting their own title.

Yeah, with the exception of me and Snark, I think all the other matchups are pretty much decided by now.
Speaking of me and Snark...we are deadlocked in a tie, so I'm wondering what's going to happen with that. Here are the options I see.
1. We decide the winner by counting up the number of reviews (possibly subtracting the reviews that the author made on his own post -- i know i reviewed mine like, ten times or something).
2. One of us forfeits.
3. Jack McCallum, as previous Uberlord, decides.
4. By some mathematical quirk, we both continue (though this will leave us with 4 writers in round 4, making a nice little face-off, it will leave us with 7 writers for round 3, meaning one of us would have to sit out, so i dunno that this is the best idea).
5. We're both eliminated because we've stunned each other with the glory of our stories. Like if Superman and Thor punched each other in the face at the same time and knocked each other out. I'm Thor, by the way, you big red-undie wearing alien sissy. Would you like to touch my hammer?
Either way it goes, I have no problems. I think Snark wrote a great story, and I'm happy with the story I wrote. No shame in losing to the Uberlord. Plus I would have time to finish up some other things.

WAAAAIIIIT a second...
I'm wondering about the brackets. We're currently in round 2 with 12 writers. After round 2 is done, we'll have six writers for round 3. After round 3, we'll have 3 writers. This post says the winner will be declared on Tuesday -- which unless we have rounds 3 and 4 in the span of four days, is a lie.
SOOOOOOOO...I guess we'll have three writers left by Tuesday, and they have to compete against each other? I suggest that instead of having a bye for one of the writers, we make it a fatal three-way and the best ranked post of the three wins.

I've written a story. Sort of. It's not exactly what I wanted...I've got about six pages (as long as my last one) but only got around to tying the title into it at the end. Originally I planned it to finish up before the point I got to; and I'd LIKE to finish it, but I don't think I have the time or energy to do it before the deadline.
Hmmm. We'll have to see how I feel tonight.
I had more trouble getting this story going than I've had getting any story on Uber going.

When I drew the names for Round 2 pairings, I went from the list of winners that ahumblefool put together in one of his reviews on the Round 1 post. icarus1987's name was on the list, so I added him to the pool of names, and he wound up being matched up with Stardamage.
Apparently icarus was never going to be able to write anything past the first round, so he cannot participate in Rounds 2 and 3.
So, what to do?
Do we:
- Offer his spot to Axolotl, who he competed against in Round 1?
- Hold badassmofo as a substitute, if he's willing, in case Axolotl is unable to compete or unable to give Stardamage a title in time? It looks like Brdn_Nkd and badassmofo tied, ratings wise, but mofo got more hits on his 1.8 rated post than Nkd did on his 1.8 rated re-write.
So maybe the list of subs could go: Axolotl, badassmofo, Brdn_Nkd, depending on who's free to compete.
- Give Stardamage a story title, so as to provide a post, but then basically offer a bye to the next round?
