I was going to post this as a response, but it turned into a whole different animal.
ugh, again with the love... oxytocin, norepinephrine, phenylethylamine, and a couple of endorphines. -over-rated. Love, in my book, is the persistence of empathy. Love does *not* conquer all, it does *not* overcome, and it certainly does *not* make any transgression null or void. People have this romanticized view of love like it's going to make everything better. Once you get over that initial high from phenylethylamine (eat some chocolate or strawberries) and get into the lull of the slow drip of endorphines, we suddenly find that "7 year itch." Why? Because we are not part of the 4% of mammals who naturally produce vasopressin (the monogomy drug.) Ooh, that sucks. Humans are not naturally monogomous creatures. Thank christianity and this whole idea of lifelong marriage for that little oversight. Why *life long* marriage? Simple property inheritance. When a couple has a child you *know* who the mother is. There is always ambiguity about the father (barring distinct ethnic discrepencies) unless paternity testing is involved. And, since property passed from father to son until recently; you get the picture. Even our bodies have evolved to maximize the effect of "promiscuity." the human penis is specifically evolved to remove the seminal fluid of his mates *previous partner* from her vagina (thusly that funny helmet shape to the glans.) Women aim for minimal partners who are of the best possible genetic quality, while man aim to impregnate as many women as possible. Our sex drives and goals are a clear indication of this. Even our tastes in what we find attractive: clear skin (no disease), nice body (healthy metabolism), large breasts (baby food!), large penis (genetic predisposition to being able to remove more of the previous mans semen, oh and they feel better, and they are more likely to get closer the the cervix and therefore more likely to get her pregnant), nice hair (again, no diseases- resistance to disease), smart, funny, blah blah blah. All of these are traits that humans seek to pass on to thier offspring. Noone wants a dumb, ugly, fat, pimply, disease prone mate; we don't want out kids to turn out that way. Now enter stupid emotion and attachment. Insert the degredation of the human gene pool via the propogation of inferior genes. ohhh, ok, I'm going to stop now. starting to sound like a evolutionary supremecist.... eeek.

I have duely noted that any posts in this forum will be reviewed by a panel of retired high school english teachers. As such, future postings will be reviewed for both grammatical and formatting errors and presented in a manner consistent with the MLA format.
I appreciate the hyper-attentive manner in which some readers have apparently failed to actually read the content of my writing; their anal- retentive proddings have enlightened me to the error of my ways. It is with great trepedation that I submit these observations for thier scrupulous examinations.
Thank You,

how about you just write in an intelligible fashion.
failure to strongly command the language leads to a loss of credibility in your "content".

We take pills to not get pregnant, we wear condoms for the same reason. We choose when to have children carefully. These actions are not a result of evolution, but education and reason.
If we can overcome our natural propensity for breeding with any good looking mate who happens to be around, we have the ability to choose to be with one person for as long as we wish.
When you realise that breeding is not actually our sole purpose anymore - too many people, and too many of them are stupid anyway - you realise that choosing a partner has less to do with your body's design for endless casual sex and more to with emotional connection, happiness, and companionship.
We're not animals. We exist for more than sex. Therefore, we have the ability to choose a mate and stay with them - not because a hormone tells us to, but because we decide to.

With paragraphs this might have been something special. Reading this was painful.
You're not texting your mate after gym class here, you've got a keyboard and a real language. Use both.

I had to give up reading because of the formatting. If you can't take the time to make your work easy for me to read, why would I spend the time reading it?

Feels like you're jumping around on too many subjects with no real point.

Good post. Writing Nazi's might suggest that the format/structure of teh post could have been a litle better, but I thought the content deserved a +2.
I learnt something. Thanks.

Would have agreed with you seven months ago.
However, I agree with the theory and principles behind evolution so +1.

Alright, gotta say a few things
So you can always tell when someone has not experienced true love. You know the kind, when you'd rather be with your girl than with your buddies or even watching a football game. When the thought of this person brings a smile to your face. When you are actually making love, not having sex. These are experiences I don't think you've had yet and it shows...in your writing.
I suspect you are probably younger, maybe zit faced...I don't know but what I do know is that when you find that one special person, it can paralyze you, even if only for a minute.
