"Approaching Light Speed" is an awesome song by Wolfsheim. It's awesome to the point that I almost feel bad using the title for a rant just because it feels like the thoughts are going through my mind at what the title suggests. Almost...

but yeah, just a rant. you have been warned.

Approaching light speed. thoughts speed meteoric falling stars gather behind the eyes. Headaches. Bright vision, bright eyes, pain. Tired. So tired. Can't sleep. The room. That room with the fan, the cell, that cytoplasm that could suck me in, engulf me, trap me forever. Forever. Its in there, in sleep, waiting for me. Always waiting. It's always there. I'll be there, someday. It sucks you in. It exists. Almost got caught there once, but I got out. I woke up. Someday I won't. Does everyone have one of these? Some place in their mind that feels as real as this world and is infinitely more terrifying. I never believed in hell, but the dream of this place makes me wonder.
Approaching light speed. Work is soon. Temp job in XRay department CAT scan sick people doctors lab coats officiality. People who pretend to care deeply but are just as jaded, tired and cynical as any fifty-six year old diner waitress. Politics, what is it with fucking politics. Diane saying shit about Dorothy who wanted me to leave who tells Judy things about Diane who is being yelled at on the phone by Judy and then announces to her boyfriend on the phone two days into my "training", "My boss is an ignorant fuck." Hello, Diane. Everyone's an ignorant fuck. No one ever knows enough.
Approaching light speed. The ex. He's always there, always on my mind, this oxymoron, the toxin that's been slowly eating at me the past few years, the antidote to my mixed-up head, the only thing that made me whole. His attitudes and fears that have rubbed off and screwed me up. I couldn't deal with it. But then there was the way around him, nothing could touch me. Except him, and at the wrong times, he wouldn't. And then around him I didn't exist. Well, fine. If I can't exist to you when I'm 3 feet away, then I won't let you exist for me, period. That was my basic train of thought, I realize now. That's how it ended. I always think about starting it again. Would things be different? I don't know. Right now I'm with someone who treats me like gold but there's no rush, there's no addiction, there's no obsession or withdrawal. It's healthy. Do I want healthy? Can I deal with healthy? Can he deal with me? Can anyone? Can I deal with me?

+2 for this line...

"Some place in their mind that feels as real as this world and is infinitely more terrifying."

Oh, and -1 for the formatting.

Really Gabrielle,

Break up the text a little. Formatting is a big deal on this site if for no other
reason than I have a fucking migraine after reading that.

Also, X is right, think it through a little more, THEN write. The entire flow of it was rushed.
Proofread a little more, and read it aloud to feel the aestetics.

Berty - yeah, yeah it does.

Jack - i'm not too sure.

Xcuses - I am geniuinely confused. Do you mean to "put my thoughts together a little more than write" as in, I should put thoughts together MORE THAN writing? Or did you mean "Put your thoughts together a little more then write" as in, writing after my thoughts are put together? I would like to understand this. Thanks for the advice, and hopefully the explanation.

Needed more Wolfenstein 3D and "Von Laben!".
