Some of you uberers might have noticed that I am into photography. I realise that this is a very subjective topic. So I don't blame anyone if he or she doesn't like my pictures at all. Feel free to rate accordingly.
This picture was taken yesterday (with a Canon EOS20D, F8.0, 1/160, ISO 100, SIGMA 18-125 at 23mm X 1.6 = 37mm) in France; bourgogne near St.Gengoux (that is close to Chalon). Levels and white balance were adjusted with GIMP 2.
I posted 1024X768 res and am sorry for all the users who have problems with that.
If any of you (and this counts for all pictures I have posted here and at other places) would like to have high res versions just say so. I'll send them over.
Please notice the right part of the house rightmost of the pic. It dates back to 800 and used to be a watch tower for the castle nearby. It's kinda creepy to sleep in there; believe me... But since we had floor heating installed, the 2m walls are not that frightening anymore...

Great fuckin' movie.
Nice photograph. I like landscape photography too. You should check out some of the photographs FilthyAssistant took on our summer trip to the West of America. There is some nice stuff in there too.

It's a nice picture, but the framing is not very good. Use the rule of thirds.
What is the eye drawn to? You have to follow lines, then you have that damn tree/bush thing over there. That ruins the perspective.
I'm not trying to be a dick here, just trying to help.
I was going to go into photography myself, until I realized there was no damn $$ in it.
So here I am, in constrcution management. Hmmm...

It's a reasonably good pic of a reasonably good subject.
I'd +2 a great pic of a mediocre subject. If you can make, let's say, Nelson's Column, the Eiffel Tower, Mt. Rushmore, or the Horseshoe Falls look cool, THEN you're a photog.

Makes me think of Hardy's "Return of the Native;" it looks like what I've always imagined Egdon Heath to look like. +2 for reminding me of a killer book (minus the 6th part; that was tacked on because the public liked a sappy-ass ending and Hardy wanted the cash).

Listen man, I am not dis-claiming that we are retarded arrogant war mongering bastards. But that does not discount us from being the superior nation of the world, it kind of ensures it. When America falls, and it will, then you can say "I told you so"

I am only trying to provoke caul... who is Canadian... come to think of it, it is kind of lame that he is offended by anti french sentiment."""
I'm not offended by anti-french sentiment. I'm offended by self-congratulating arrogant americans who laugh at others' military history even though theirs is filled with fiascos against third-world nations and that it contains no real conflict on their own soil. When you speak to people whose grand parents have lived (or died) during occupation, you realise war is not some impersonal thing you can cheer about during Hollywood revionist movies.
All in all, I take offense that Americans claim superiority when in fact, they are severly retarded.
I'm sorry to be one to break out the news :-/

This photo reveals why the french are such stinky bastards. Note the bathtub in the field...they don't even know what they are used for, so they discard them in the country.
Just kidding, I am sure they know what a bathtub is.

This picture would be better if it had German tanks rolling through it...as a reminder that the Americans abandonned the already weaken vulnerable country that once allowed the birth of their nation under occupation for 4 years and for some reason now mock it even though they were the ones too cowardly to join the war until they were dragged into it.
