...of pumpkins.
It's almost 7pm. I have my ghostly Halloween lights wrapped along the length of my step railing. I have 2 carved, lit up pumpkins beckoning the little chillin's to come up an accept a peanut butter cup or 20...
And nobody. Not a soul. I'm sad. I think Fat Tony's view points must have gotten to people this year. Or people are too fucking lazy to walk around in 60 degree weather for the sake of a little fun.
Regardless, I did enjoy my pumpkin carving activities, and as promised to the user who wrote on behalf of pumpkin respect (sorry, can't seem to find that post, and it was very good) - I am going to show my humble creations. (The Chihuahua is my design, modeled after my nasty little dog, and the bat design I mimicked from a very cool site - masterpiecepumpkins - I tried to attach a link, but it seems the site is down).
Happy Halloween everybody! (Except FT, of course, he's at church... praying to salvage the souls of the non-believers).

My pumpkin is disintegrating into mush like that one bad guy in RoboCop with the toxic waste, so I'm glad I didn't carve anything too complicated...
...and my daughter got more candy in an hour than I think I got in any three years growing up on Long Island. Plus all the candy we still have after only getting 5 trick or treaters...

so we get a ton of little kids.
plus we live in a suburb of nyc, which is already prone to small kids.
and with that carving, i only used a fruit knife, or whatever its called.
really small and really sharp.

I really, truly, am totally bummed that I have no trick or treaters. I live in an upscale, super-safe condominium complex. As I've been told, people used to drive their kids here and hang out at the bottom of the hill and wait for them for hours - just letting the kids have fun on their own - at 400-or-so units.
