let me lay some truth on you fellas...
if i wrote a half decent post and ended it with this picture of sean astin, i'd get a bunch of "+2 for Sean Astin!" reviews.
obviously, uber lies when they give the so-called +2 for <insert b-celebrity name>. It's just a way to cover for the fact that you don't have anything clever to say, or, to cover for the fact that you didn't read it, but want to share in the social experience of a post with a good rating.
doesn't that blow your minds!?!!?

that's my only point. it's about mob mentality. Certain users don't read posts, but review them based on the trend of ratings in that post. If it's positivley rated, they might leave a 2 with a "no comment," or the aforementioned "+ 2 for pic."
If it's negatively rated they might say, "sean astin blows" or leave a -2, No Comment. Sure not everyone does this, but alot of people do.
(peon, i would never question your motives. I could almosts see vaginal secretions ebbing from your prose)
