Check this out, I'm so dissapointed in these dumbasses.
At Risdon Prison, 20 Inmates start a riot and sucessfully hold a prison gaurd hostage.
Right on, I'm all for it.
They manage to keep the police and other gaurds at bay for more than 2 days.
Sweet. Carnage, I like it.
They make a list of demands.
Fair enough.
The demands are met.
They rock dude. How often is it that a hostage taker's demands are actually met? Like never right?
The demands list was as follows...
15 pepperoni Pizza Hut Pizzas,
6 bottles of Coca Cola,
20 sticks of garlic bread.
WHAT THE FUCK!?!?!?!
THATS IT YOU SHITHEADS?!?!?
Un-fucking believable. This is a prison riot, not a sixth grade class party!
Don't you think they should have asked for more stuff. Like naked pictures of Bea Aurthur or something?
Just to prove that I'm not full of shit...

Nowhere did I mention that this happened yesterday or anything.

If I were locked up in prison for several years with only smelly mass murderers to satisfy me sexually, I would probably demand some pizza and breadsticks too.

the job will draw out aggression in people without proper training, psychological makeup, family support structure, etc.
and immature college kids are definately prone to it.
A prime example of people not trained for prison work are the soldiers who guarded Abu Gharib prisoners. I'd bet that a case study of the two (AB and your named experiment) would show the similarities are a case of training, not just physical but mental.
Upstanding college kids and upstanding soldiers put into a situation that corrupted their basic human prediliction of becoming "drunk with power"

rad, what's your opinion on that 60's social experiment, where one group of college kids was made guards, and another group was made inmates. By the end of the study, the guards were attacking the inmates, both physically and mentally. was that immaturity...or does the job draw some aggression out of people.

Who'd ask for Pizza Hut anyways? They're all greasy and all the shit falls off. If I didn't have to pay for a Pizza (I won't say 'if I was in a prison riot' because my demands would be hella more awesome than pizza) I'd at least ask for Pizza Express takeout, with those little garlic dough ball thingies.
mmmmmmm. Doughball thingies.

i was watching an hbo documentary on rykers island and one guy claimed to be a kgb operative who was being held without trial for killing an fbi agent.
he was a certifiable wackjob, but he seemed intelligent enough.

let me clue you in,
people who go to prison aren't the brightest crayons in the box.
Else, they wouldn't be in prison, would they?
