Funny ol' place France and the Frenchies are a funny people. Not funny, passionate. Really, really passionate."""
I agree. Even in Canada. We're just a quarter of the population and we're not very rich yet we have huge political leverage on this country. But it has its problems. Constant complaining and exaggarated striking can bring progress to a halt and changes impossible.

Sarkozy leans to the right a lot. When he replaces that senile Chirac, he will rape the muslims in their collective ass. I'm starting to not like them very much either. They impose their rules and cultures on every aspect of our culture and laws. They wanted to have a fucking CHARIA to replace our civil rights charter for muslim citizens! There is tolerance and then there is bending over. I agree with the former but we should draw our limits at some point. If I go in the Middle East, I might get beheaded for being non-muslim, so why should we let them hinder the progress we made in on our turf?

Berty is right. The police has very little respect in France. I wonder what will come out of these riots. I know quite a few frenchmen, and despite their talks about liberté, égalité et fraternité, nationalism and often racism lurks below the surface. It's quite funhy to see a frenchman pontificate about the wrongs of war then make a u-turn and root for the extermination of muslim immigrants. What's funnier is that they talk so fucking much and master the language so well, that they actually manage to convince you...until you remind yourself that you're talking with a frenchman.

You know I think they see themselves as the defenders of principles. The ones who believe in ideals like freedom and liberty are extremely motivated and outspoken, as are the ones who believe in nationalism and segregation.
I often think they're right too, especially when one talks with with disinterested Englishmen and Aussies who find everything amusing and Americans who are handicapped by their inferior information networks. Then again I would say that, what with my heritage and all.
Makes you think.

I thought this was very witty and amusing.
Reminds me of this guy called Nicholas who stayed with us for a while. He was a good guy, funny and decent. He stayed over for 6 weeks and he used to skin up for me. It was awesome. Anyway, we'd discuss politics in broken english (with lots of gesticulating) and on the subject of police he said "ahh yes police" then he green and made fighting motions. "Oh yeah, bastards" plus more grinning and shadow boxing.
This was a kindly one as well. Militant buggers the french. You Seppos have got them all wrong, they're mental, passionate psychos. They are well 'ard. I mean they riot for a fucking week for christs sake. A week!
Not as hard as the British mind, only the Russians and the Israelies are harder than brits, but still they are up there in the top 10.
Although they do have the French Foreign Legion (which is mental). That's an international unit though.

This hasn't happened in the US, therefore is not news. Nor does anyone here know who Sarkozy is. (cue Americans loading up google.)
