There is a street here in Phoenix called Van Buren, where women of the night used to (and sometimes still do) walk the streets. THE largest area of prostitution in Arizona by far, complete with pimps, drug dealers, crackheads, you name it. Crazy shit. Here's my rendition of "Penny Lane" using lyrics I coined after reflecting on this small part of my hometown.
P.S. if you actually listen to the song, the stanzas match up pretty damn close to the flow/rhyme scheme!
