For all of those who have been wondering where the hell I have been for the last few months - I've been working my ass off.
Included in said ass working, I have begun to write for a very new sports website:
http://theheptagon.com
So if you could move your mouse about half an inch and click on the link, I and everyone else at the site would really appreciate it.
But before you pass this off as some idiot trying to give a quick shout out to a website, take the time to read the mission statement:
"The creators of The Heptagon hope to provide fresh commentary and coverage to sports journalism through a unique blend of storytelling, creative writing and interaction with various members of the sports world.
These are seven college-aged students bringing varying experiences together in one site as a foundation for what they hope will become a meeting place for young aspiring sports writers throughout the country as well as a number of athletes, coaches, fans and numerous others.
Separately these seven architects bring experience as campus sports editors, interns at major sports publications, writers at local newspapers and a work with a wealth of other past projects including the development of an online campus sports magazine, Olympic correspondence, athletic department work and more. Some have been writing sports for a number of years, others just beginning and one not even pursuing journalism but simply enthralled with the idea."
Honestly, I wouldn't bullshit you guys with some B-side website.
It's really well put together and although not everything is completely up and running, the site is well on its way and there are already some great articles up.
If you like sports, there really are some good articles on the site written by some pretty darn good sports writers. So if you're bored and at work, try going to The Heptagon and see what the newest generation of sports writers have to say about things.
So just click on the link you lazy Uberers: http://theheptagon.com

Looks cool. I got involved in something like this awhile ago, but it got shut down. I'd be happy to write some stuff from a Boston fan's perspective if you guys wouldn't mind.

good article espo.
The direction you went in was interesting, but as I was reading I was going in another direction in my mind, I was thinking how blown out of proportion this act of discipline ended up. Maybe because I am older, I coach little league, I know what kind of smart mouth shit disturbing brats parents drop off at practice, and am disgusted by the political correctness of this country.
I have wanted to grab little smart mouth punks by their shirt collars hundreds of times. Fortunately I have not because I know how pussified this country has become and I would end up taking it in the ass like that coach did.
I grew up when corporal punishment was allowed in school. And when you respected what your coach said and kept your mouth shut even if you didn't agree. I had a baseball coach when I was nine that would drag kids off the field by their arms for laying down on a play and scream and curse during games with packed stands. That same coach asked me to step into a ball at the plate because the team needed me on base and I was struggling batting at the time.
Now kids being are sugar titted by their coaches, teachers and parents and we wonder why baseball is progressively losing disciplined American players.
Latin American countries and Japanese baseball programs are based on discipline.
