Events leading up to the creation of this song
Katrina hits the gulf. African Americans bitch that the government is hesitant to send relief. I bite my tongue because their situation IS unfortunate and I slightly feel bad for them.
Kanye West announces on live television that Bush doesnt care about black people. Again, I bite my tongue. He is simply practicing his right to Freedom of Speech.
Then something happened that pushed me over the edge. The NBA states that they are going to start enforcing a dress-code. I personally think this is a great idea. The players on the other hand...
Long story short, I read an interview on AOLnews (for the life of me, I cant remember who it was). This individual stated that "THEY dont want US to dress Like Black People." By US Im pretty sure hes not talking about the white players, such as..um, well, I cant think of any at this moment, but Im sure there are still a couple out there
I had to do something creative with my frustration. I wrote the lyrics, and seeing as how I am as musically crap-tacular as (Insert TRL Superstar here), I got my friend Josh to perform it. 2 hours and a 12-pack later, we had this little diddy.
Let me clear a few things up before you listen to it. The song is missing a certain word. Dont worry; youll know what it is when you hear it. And as for the Gravedigger line, well the fact is this. If the offices of Military Equal Opportunity got wind of this, they would have a field day with my ass. Its an attempt, although a futile one, to cover my ass if indeed this got into the wrong hands.
Just a heads up, it would probably be a good idea to wait until the room is cleared of black people before you listen to this. Unless of course youve got a bottle of Old E and some of the sticky icky to share with them afterwards.

I agree. Stop acting like a victim. I had a discussion with a black guy about a month ago on what he thought makes African Americans think they have it so bad. He stated it was how they were raised.
"Oh really? Well, tell me what you had to deal with and I'll see how much we had in common"
Racism: Check (I was the minority in every school I attended, and they made sure I knew it)
Poverty: Double Check
Single Parent: Check
Violence: Check (They shut down my school due to the L.A. Riots, seeing as how there were numerous fires just blocks from it.)
Gangs:Check I've had a group of guys come up to me, pull out a gun and ask "What color you bleed, white-boy" I have also been shot in the arm during a drive-by.
No Educational Options/ can't afford college:Check I worked fast food to get myself through junior college, and got a loan to finish my BS

The whole political correctness 'let's treat this gangster nonsense like it's a legitamite racial identity' thing has gone way too far. It's getting to the point where blacks are using an institution that's been abolished for almost 200 years as an excuse to behave like jackasses. Want to get out of the ghettos? Do it. You've got scholarships, student loans, 2-year trade programs; everything is going for you. Want to stay in the ghetto? Don't expect my sympathy when you die, or my tax money for your widow and dozen chillun's. You want to talk about whitey keeping you down? The European colonists slaughtered about 97% of my ancestors. I still have a job, a mortgage, and a college education. Slavery was another cup of tea. On one side of the token, it got blacks out of Africa where, let's face it, they DON'T want to return. On the other side, blacks were the largest proponents of slavery - selling their own people to the European slavers.
Like I said, don't expect pity.
