I was expecting an interesting post on whether it is right to piss away your talent (with a replacement organ too).
Instead, it was yet another Mr Miyagi post. Hey hum.
Lots of media coverage? yes, certainly, he was a media icon. He pretty much defined the first superstar footballer (actually, there could be some serious debate about that - he was however the first to truly go over the rails)
He was a truly superb footballer. His balance was eerie, his movement spectacular, and he made the opposition look amateurish. Despite the kickings he regularly got, he would still try and play football, and never really grumbled about the beatings. He would give as good as he got.

I'm with you on this one, he was a great footballer, but that doesn't make him a hero. His death has had more media coverage than Mother Teresa, who actually did great things that made a difference to the world.
