Tonight, I've been unwinding after a long day of work and school while drinking a few beers. Watching television, while not entirely mentally stimulating, does the trick for me when I just want to veg out. One of my favorite shows of all time is Law and Order (RIP Jerry Orbach), but Law and Order is not on right now. What IS on is Law and Order SVU, and though I have heard good things about it, I haven't really seen it yet.
Thus brings me to my rant. Ice-T is a piece of fucking shit. I hope when he is burning in hell they spend an extra amount of time analy raping him with a spiked baseball bat.
Now in life, especially in the media, there are many hypocrits. However, most don't play a roll on a television show that they once made an entire rap song about killing. Now that isn't what bothers me because if you read the lyrics to "Cop Killer" it's really about dirty cops. What does bothers me however is that Ice-T plays the roll of a detective in a squad for Special Victims; i.e. Woman and Children.
Tonights episode was about a serial rapist/murderer in Harlem where "T's" character grew up. In this episode, he gets extremely upset over the way this man treats women.
Fuck you Ice-T. You were a pimp and a drug dealer before you went rapper and then actor. Fuck you for being so pretentious as to play a police officer whom would have busted your face in if he saw you selling pussy on the street. Snoop dog used to have the same professions as you, hell he even went to trial for murder, but least Snoop knows his limits and only portrays dirbags on film.

I'd say that a nigga who starts out selling drugs and other people's orifices, then gets famous for rapping a song called "Cop Killer", and then makes a ton of money playing cop characters in movies and television shows is a nigga that has effectively "stuck it to the man".

I wrote this after throwing back a couple last night, on further reflection I may have written it differently if I had taken more then 3 minutes on it, oh well. skrapmetal I think really hit the counter-point on the head here. What I think really set me off though was just watching him over sell the roll.
Oh, and some other things. GaidinCanuck, don't ever read or rate one of my posts again. Don't assume to know me because of my nationality. Yes I know the difference between reality and fantasy, why don't you go look up the definition of stereotyping?

It's true. I tell you whut as well, I saw this movie called City of God, it's about a load of mexicans, an' there was this bastard called Little Dice who raped this girl! It waas based on a true story as well.
I wrote a letter to Paramount studios telling them how disgusted I was.

It's called being an actor. I know that in America you all hold your celebrities up to some unique standards, but seriously... Get yer freakin' head on straight.
When a nice guy (let's say Tim Robbins) plays an "evil" character, does this mean he's being hypocritical to his own personal values? No... It means he got a job, and he's doing it.
So, in conclusion...
Actually, I have no conclusion... I think my first two statements pretty much sums up my thoughts. Now I'm just wasting your time. Although, I should say (and I am assuming here) that you probably didn't know Ice-T back in his hoodlum days... So don't pretend to. Most of that crap he said he did could be PR. (Although, I'm very sure he was a 'bad man', I don't know for sure, so let's not jump to conclusions on the personality of people we don't know... MmmmKay?)
P.S. If you seriously can't differentiate between reality and fantasy, I'm sure there are support groups out there for you. I only say this because I see this as a growing problem in our society, and I'm a little concerned.
