Rumor around the water cooler is that President Bush has denied the annual raise for the bottom tier of officer ranks in the military. That can't happen! I'M in that tier.
I havn't really looked into it, because let's face it, ignorance is bliss, and I just want something to bitch about.
I had thought about writing this elaborate story of the conversation myself and the President would have about the subject. But the more I thought about it, the I realized story would make me out to be a greedy, whiney, little bitch. Because, in all honesty, I do live rather comfortably on my wages.
So instead, I made this little comic on how the conversation would have more than likely played out in real life.

Do the American ranks go about in the same manner as the Canadian ones? In which case 2lt would be the second lowest officer rank, just over subordinate?

Well, in America, 2Lt is the lowest officer rank(Other than Navy, where an Lt is maybe the same grade as Capt.). But its pretty much the same after that
