For those that don't care to support the linkwhoring cause, the premise is that I saw a dude on the subway that looked JUST like Osama bin Laden. I mean, he had the turban, the long black-gray-white beard, the nose--everything. But what really struck me was the fact that he was wearing FUBU jeans and Timberlands.

In any case, that image, which has a permanent home in my mind, caused me to contemplate what anyone would contemplate: what if Osama recorded a song...a rap song? Or a hip-hop song? Is there a difference? Hold on, let me call a random latino I went to high school with...

Really? Not bad for a keyboard bank drum loop. I would've guessed it was a Boss drum machine.
On a good day, when properly warmed up vocally, I can hit a high C. Granted, that's pretty much screaming, but nonetheless...E2 to C4 is my range.

Captain: I use Cakewalk Pro Audio 9...not sure how old it is, but I got it for free and it works well, so I stick with it. As far as drums, I actually use the bank in my Roland...keyboard. It's actually worked decently for my regular rock songs. I hook everything into my Boss GT-6B processor for a clean sound, especially when I use my acoustic-electric guitar. It's catered towards lower registers (it's the bass version of the regular GT-6), but it works out well. And I have no more money to get more stuff. For this, I only used the keyboard's sound bank and my vocals.
Your voice is definitely capable of reaching higher notes than I can scream out, based on Shenanigan Pie. You win this round. Bastard.

I laid down all the music in about 3 hours...I've never recorded anything close to rap before, so I had to see what worked and didn't work. The vocals took a week because I only recorded them in 10 or 20 minute blocks when I was alone in my apartment...I didn't want anyone listening in on that.
As for the annoying chorus "chicks:" I feel your pain. I'm a bass as far as vocals go. Combined with allergies, that's how my falsetto turns out. All in all, it added to the comic effect, so I can live with it. Even if I wince a little.

Word. I used to be a solid baritone but consistently singing tenor every other weekend for the past three years has really stretched my vocal range. Allergies suck. I'm sure your Osama-girl impression is far less painful than what a real one would sound like though... ;)
