For those of you who knew the only little woman that really loved me in my life, she passed sometime Sunday evening. I had gone out of town on Saturday morning and came back around 9pm on Sunday night and she had passed. I tried to revive my 15 yr old, 3 month old today kitty, but there was no having it. Going to bury her in mom's backyard tomorrow. Thanks for letting me be a pussy and a weakling. She had been with me since Sept. 3rd 1990, and followed me everywhere. I will miss my little Russian Blue Princess very much.

Dude, that's almost the EXACT same date I brought my cat into my home after I found him wandering outdoors, abandoned as a kitten in the frigid, North Dakota winter. We knew he was abandoned as he had already been litterbox trained. He was completely untrusting of any new people because of that ordeal. I had to put him to sleep a few years ago. I was fine until they stuck the needle in his paw. Watching him literally drain away unhinged me. I broke down and walked out of the office, vision completely fucked as my eyes brimmed over. He's in the back yard by a tree I've deemed as his headstone. I know how it feels and it sucks hard.

I don't think this should be a +2 because it is not kicker of all ass that your cat died. Pets always seem to die in December. My puppy Darwin died last year on the 3rd, and my first kitty Moon died in mid December when I was 12. Sorry about your kitty cat.

=========================================================
FYI never met an evil cat myself, met lots and LOTS of cats that were attached to only one person but never an evil one. I'm not saying there aren't evil cats, just that I had never met one.
-------------------------------------------
It just depended on if she knew you or not, whenever my brother's girlfriend would visit Lucy would either hid somewhere all day or attack them, she really did attack her sometimes. She really was a sweet cat once she got to know you, it won't be the same without her here...

Not the kicker of all ass, but a +2 nonetheless. Growing up on a farm, I have had many animals and many have passed. Sorry for your loss.
It kind of makes you wonder why we have pets. It's almost inevitable that we will out-live them. When they die, we are sad. Yet, they bring so much joy into our lives, despite that probability.

I'm just catching up and promise to address them all but many many thanks to you all. Cats have that sixth sense for those of us who know them, where when we are sad or sick or in emotional need they simply just know we need them and they seem to hang around us more. Stick a little closer, or climb up in your lap out of character. I really thought I too would be angry when she passed but instead found myself wailing like a baby when I first found her and then after about 15 minutes just occasional sobbing periodically, even now actually. Thanks again to all of you out there willing to love something unconditionally and risk the pain of loss. I would absolutely do it again.

+2 for hanging in there all those years. Not many people realize what a special relationship you can have with a cat. Most people think they are colder than dogs. Not so. I have a wicked cold/flu right now and all my cats are hanging out with me, keeping me warm, keeping me company.

This is Kim.....not Lance. Tonight I learned that blessed Mo had left this earth. A precious kitty cat child that loved Lance with all of her nine lives......they just ran out. She gave both of us so much joy and she managed to keep Kane Kitten on his toes! Being the only man I know that loves cats as much as I do, my heart breaks for him, Lance. His gentle spirit truly is revealed when he is around his cats and makes me love him all the more! The softer side of Lance......... All my love and tears from a heart that cares.

My cats always live to be a scary age unless they're killed by outside circumstances (like cars).
Callie was 23 when she died.
My dog was 15 when he died.
It's almost like they stick around longer than they should. Not that I'm complaining, but it's weird.
Oh, and my fish that is supposed to have a 2 year life? Going on 5!

That is awful, losing a pet sucks.
Of all the cats I've had during my life:
1. Sunning itself in the middle of the road and got squished.
2. During the operation for spaying, never woke up.
3. Got into a fight with a huge dog, came home with one leg twisted completely upward. Later developed cancer in that same spot.
We have three now aged 18, 16, and 16. Can't believe they are still with us!
=================================================================================
18, 16 and 16? You lucking fucking bastard I am SO jealous! Good for you and yours! I have lost many in my life. Thadius was cross eyed and jumped in front of a truck. Maude was a gorgeous tortoise shell she died of cancer. Doophus died of feline leukeimia. Cats are a pot shot even if you keep them in.

I had a kitten that died. Failure to thrive, they said. I fucking cried until my guts hurt. You're not a pussy.

Oh good Christ, a kitten? Fuck man I don't know if I could handle that. She was with me 15 years but a little child? Yeah man, I'm a pussy!

So sorry to hear about your loss. Losing my little tortoise shell was the hardest pet loss for me. She was damn loyal.

My Ex had an absolutely B E A utiful, Tortoise shell cat she called "Bells and Whistles". I'll see if I can find the pic of all 3 of what she had. One, flame point siamese, one tortoise shell, one pure siamese.

She's beautiful.
Cats always hide away...they like to die alone. My cat was really sick, barely hanging in there. He waited until I went away to the beach to pass away. Otis, my pearl white himalayan/persian. Beautiful.
=====================================================================================================
Crap that makes me cry more! My mother said the same thing though about cats wanting to be alone when they die. I thought that was only for horses and whatnot. I miss you too Otis!! I'm such a puss!!!!!

That reminds me of my evil cat, Lucy, she died earlier this year, it was quite a sad sight. She wasn't really that bad of a cat once she got to know you, it's just when you got her pissed that she was evil.
Thanks for the good memories, hope you get by easy enough.
====================================================================================
Thanks man it's tough, I really miss her bad right now. It will get better and yeah Blue's are VERY peronsal. I only found out recently that they are ONE PERSON, ONE CAT, type household animals. Too bad, because my Flamem Point Siamese, Kane is a freak and a hell of a lot of fun!

It's good you have another cat to hang with but I'm sure it'll never be the same as your little blue friend. My friend has a cat that looks just like Lucy, I wanted to take her home with me so bad.
