In continuation of my last post: http://www.ubersite.com/m/80221
I propose a new initiative to help prevent illegal immigrants entering from our southern border. Here's the article that inspired me to write this:

US-MEXICO BORDER WALL WOULD BE 'DISGRACEFUL': FOX
MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Mexican President Vicente Fox denounced as "disgraceful and shameful" on Wednesday a proposal to build a high-tech wall on the U.S.-Mexico border to stop illegal immigrants.
Concerned about the huge numbers of illegal immigrants streaming across the border and worried it could be an entry point for terrorists, a U.S. lawmaker has proposed building two parallel steel and wire fences running from the Gulf of Mexico to the Pacific Coast. But Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff has said a wall running the length of a border would cost too much.
Mexico has expressed indignation at the idea.
Fox, speaking in Tamaulipas state across the border from Texas, said such extreme security measures would violate immigrants' rights.
"The disgraceful and shameful construction of walls, the increasing enforcement of security systems and increasing violation of human rights and labor rights will not protect the economy of the United States," he said

Now...
I understand that this country was built on immigrants (not literally, although, that would eventually leave a pretty rank smell). Immigrants came to America, provided cheap labor, learned the language, worked their ASSES off to gain citizenship, and established a home for their future generations. No problem. That's awesome. Yippee-kai-yaa, and all that other shit...
As for the fucking Mexicans that jump over the border, NEVER learn English, get illegal identities, and somehow get jobs (albeit lame ones), they can go fuck themselves. When it's to the point that I have to point to a picture of what I want at my local McDonald's, because the only words the cashier knows are "Okay" and "Sa-rry", something must be done.
I say, BUILD THE GODDAMN WALL.
Then, man the wall with flame-thrower wielding, buzz-saw wearing, knife-throwing wrestlers from WWE. Make that shit like "Running Man".
You wanna come to America illegally? Fuck you. Face the trials amigo...

I always found the ultimate hypocrisy to be that the Mexican government is just as harsh to the Guatemalan immigrants trying to cross their southern border.
Hmmm....but then I googled to read up on the situation, and I changed my mind. Mexico is helping the US with its border control. Not all US-bound immigrants are Mexicans. People from the poor countries from all the over world, including Asia, Africa, and even the Middle East, are trying to get into the US. They use Mexico as their gateway. Interesting, Mexico is left with a burden caused by the US.

Im strongly against illegal immigration but I always convey my ideas and thoughts with decency and respect.
BTW, if you talk to a Coyote (people that specialize in the smugging of immigrants) about 60% are Mexican. The rest are Indian, Filipino, Central or South American.
Put up a wall, people shouldnt be here illegally anyway.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Decency and respect? You drew a fucking gay-arse Asian-girl smiley and later said that whites take the country for granted...

Its sad that as an immigrant, probably more American and more patriotic than any white person that takes this amazing country for granted.
My greencard in the toilet along with your stale arguement. Im a US Citizen of color, fear me.

Unless you consider illegal immigration to be a good thing for the nation of the USA than you are unpatriotic.

Only high level drug smugglers use the tunnels.

"Fox, speaking in Tamaulipas state across the border from Texas, said such extreme security measures would violate immigrants' rights"
Because everyone has the right to illegally emigrate without pesky things like walls to stop them.
Hadrian had the same idea a good thousnad plus years ago. He kept the scots out of England, so this sounds good to me. It should stop the Spics who are kicked out of the US from just reentering.

Tunnels? why would they tunnel, what are they tunneling under, right now they can just walk across the border.
***
yes, so they can bring drugs across, anything and everything, yes...but it costs 3K per person
with 1/3 to 1/2 of that going to a 'crooked' border agent
tunnel access costs about the same but the 'entry' fee is offset by the narcotics carried

I don't understand why the US hasn't just invaded Mexico and declared it US territory already. I mean we got the Southwest from them back in 18-whatever-it-was, why don't we just finish the job? Think about it - there are so many reasons why this is a brilliant idea.

I agree. When - IF - they make it through the death run, they should be greeted with green cards.
To offset the cost, charge admission or put it on a 24 hour pay per view.
I'd go and cheer the beaners on.

Do you have any idea how much that wall would cost to build and maintain? You could probably hire loads of extra manpower for the cost of that wall.
______________________________________________
Yeah, but a well-built wall doesn't need a salary every year. It doesn't need healthcare coverage, a 401K, or even a lunch break. It might be a little extreme, but at least it would help.
Just as long as they don't hire illegal immigrants to build it...

Incidently, I know nothing about this but the mexicans may have been refering to some international human rights law although I can't imagine what law that would be.
---------------------
Sorry berty, But I am willing to bet whatever you want that there is no international law against erecting a wall to keep ILLEGAL and UNAUTHORIZED people out of your country. If anything Mexico is violating the rights of the immigrants by encouraging them to cross illegaly inot a country where they are not welcome.

Why not take a page from the Israelis' book and build the wall well INTO Mexico?
That'll work.
-----------------
It does kind of run the risk (har har) of changing the tone of the situation doesn't it?
I mean as it stands, it's a bit like a game. The Mexicans have to run the gauntlet and if they make it they get to live in the US for a bit. It's like Mega-Takeshies castle.
Putting up a giant Berlin/Israel/Hadrians style wall is a bit more stern and takes a lot of the fun out of it.

Also Pink Floyd make a good argument against walls.

WTF???
The US building a wall so they can't break our laws is violating their rights? You know what he is right. And the lock on my car is violating the rights of car stereo thieves. And the lock on my front door is violating the rights of burglars.
