Kansas City faire here. I knew stage combat and sword play beforehand and a friend got me a gig doing some staged combat at the KC Ren Fest. I only did that about 3 years. Those people are obsessed in a Trekkie sort of way.

I never did the poorly accented accent talk. I just beat the living shit out my fellow performers and got stomped myself as well. Good times.

Now it is just a pleasant hobby and good excercise.

Personally, I never really heard of this broad and when I HAVE seen her screen name, I thought it was just some fat guy.

Quarterstaff is awesome! Pretty easy, 5 basic strikes and blocks. But you have to keep your practice up. Only downside is when your knuckles get cracked. Hurts like a mother!
