I'm not even a Red Sox fan but this is just wrong. Talk about not caring about the game and only going for the almighty dollar.

Really, really poor execution by the Sox front office.
Did the Sox really expect any kind of a hometown discount
when they refused to go a year over the same 4 year deal

I hope Beckett drills him in the head first at-bat. And I'd rather C-Patterson than Reed. Hopefully someone else will come available. I knkow Roberts is, but he's just not enough contact ot be a leadoff hitter.

they overpaid; he just isn't worth the investment.
his shoulder was bothering him all last year. he has one of the worst throwing arms in the majors. he has speed and will give you a 300 average, but he get hurt alot. he isn't worth 4/52.
