Has anyone seen Home Depot's most recent string of commercials?
There are like three different versions of the same racist commercial. Each shows probably 20-30 different shots of rich white people, in their homes and in the store. The only 3 black people in the commercial are the workers. And the weirdest part is when a black worker is helping a white customer; they claim, "It doesn't matter what color your thumb is."
It seems to me the commercial is conveying a different attitude.
I haven't come across many people who agree with me on this one so I am not expecting to here. However like 6 people in Indianapolis are suing Home Depot for racism they claim to have encountered while working there.

That thumb thing could definitely have a double-meaning in a subconscious kind of way. I wouldn't be surprised, but then again I'm crazy.

No shit? Thanks for the info...can't say that I am much of a gardener. My mom always tried to get me to help her, but I felt like a sissy so I never really did. Okay One Time, ONE TIME!!!

People who are good at gardening are said to have a "green thumb". People who aren't good or are beginners do not. The idea behind the message is that Home Depot can help you with your garden whether you are already a good gardener or are just getting started.
